A cermet (ceramic-metal) composite have been prepared from alumina (γ-Al2O3) reinforced with aluminum (Al) for the concentrations of (0, 10, 20, 30, 40, & 50) wt. %Al. The cermet was formed by single axial pressing, sintered in vacuum atmosphere. Compaction behaviors were studied in solid state sintering at sintering temperatures (400, 450, & 550) °C, sintering times (2, 4, & 6) hrs., and forming pressures (5, 10, 15) MPa, also in liquid phase sintering at (800 °C). This study was conducted from January to October 2014, the samples were
collected monthly from four stations in AL-Diwaniya River at AL-Diwaniya city.
Phytoplankton species which are diagnosed during study period are (506) and the
numbers of common types in four sites are (61). Bacillariophyceae is dominate on
other classes and Chlorophyceae, Cyanophyceae, Dinophyceae then Chrysophyceae
and Euglenophyceae. The study shows that there are (150), (144), (118) and (94)
species in the first, second, third and fourth sites. The species that have highs numbers

  Chronic viral hepatitis is an important health problem in the world, where hepatitis B virus (HBV) or hepatitis C virus (HCV) infections are the main causes of liver insufficiency. The study included 100 blood samples from patients with chronic viral hepatitis, fifty of them with HBV infection and 50 with HCV infection. Twenty apparently healthy age and gender matched subjects were included as a control group. Out of the 50 patients with HBV, 36(72%) were males and 14(28%) were females. Thirty two (64%) patients with HCV were males and 18(36%) were females. Different additives are used in drilling fluids when the demanded properties cannot be gotten with clays. Drilling muds needs several additives and materials to give good characteristics. There are local alternatives more suitable for enhancing the rheology and filtration of drilling fluids. An experimental work had been conducted to assess the suitability of using potato starch to enhance rheological properties and filtration in drilling mud. This study investigated the potato starch as a viscosifier and fluid losses agent in drilling fluid.
