Design privacy in contemporary ceramic art sculpture: نزار جواد الزبيدي
...Show More Authors

The importance of this research came through the question: Are there a privacy in the design in the ceramic arts, what are they? What are the basis of design for the ceramic art sculptures? The study refers to the design privacy in the contemporary ceramic arts, not as a serviceable art, but the art of being a dialectic collecting the arts across the craft and compositionThis research is the first study to look at the privacy of design and the connection with the formation of the large sizes ceramic art sculptures, and what they have as privacy of design and the way of formations. To highlight on the most prominent technical problems facing the ceramist in the production of so sculptural worksThe need for the study comes to help the workers in the field of art from this study and professionals in the technical and aesthetic educational institutions and students of primary and graduate studies in fine arts sections. The study came in four chapters: the first chapter, which contains the problem and the importance of research and the need for it and determine The most important terms contained in the search, and the second chapter, which contained, which included the following:1. Ceramic art and design.2. Privacy of ceramic material and design.3. Ceramic sculpture and design. The most important results that resulted from the study and analysis of samples are:1.Ceramic art sculpture is a new art structure invested modern design relations to Produce aesthetic values-based on creativity, It appeared in all the sample models, as well as it investment the structure of the laws of physics and the distribution of the blocks within a specific rule and a geometric build.2.The diversity in the glaze techniques confirmed the desire of the artist to create a visual art formative.3.The importance of instruments involved in the production of sculpture appeared as actively part in that process, as a clear example that the size of kilns for burning this ceramic arts sculptures sizes.4.Multi-color in ceramic sculpture Add high specificity singularity design in technical of ceramics arts in especially and in the fine art in general.

Design of an Optimal Integral Backstepping Controller for a Quadcopter
...Show More Authors

In this paper, an Integral Backstepping Controller (IBC) is designed and optimized for full control, of rotational and translational dynamics, of an unmanned Quadcopter (QC). Before designing the controller, a mathematical model for the QC is developed in a form appropriate for the IBC design. Due to the underactuated property of the QC, it is possible to control the QC Cartesian positions (X, Y, and Z) and the yaw angle through ordering the desired values for them. As for the pitch and roll angles, they are generated by the position controllers. Backstepping Controller (BC) is a practical nonlinear control scheme based on Lyapunov design approach, which can, therefore, guarantee the convergence of the position tracking

Optimized Zero and First Order Design of Micro Geodetic Networks
...Show More Authors

Precision is one of the main elements that control the quality of a geodetic network, which defines as the measure of the network efficiency in propagation of random errors. This research aims to solve ZOD and FOD problems for a geodetic network using Rosenbrock Method to optimize the geodetic networks by using MATLAB programming language, to find the optimal design of geodetic network with high precision. ZOD problem was applied to a case study network consists of 19 points and 58 designed distances with a priori deviation equal to 5mm, to determine the best points in the network to consider as control points. The results showed that P55 and P73 having the minimum ellipse of error and considered as control points. FOD problem was applie

Space-Charge Effect on the Theoretical Design of Enzil Lens
...Show More Authors

The presentwork is a theoretical study in the field of charged particle optics. It concentrates on the design of electrostatic enzil lens for focusing charge particles beams, using inverse method in designingthe electrostatic lens. The paraxial ray equation was solved to obtain the trajectory of the particles, the optical properties such as the focal length and spherical and chromatic aberration coefficients were determined. The shape of the electrode of the electrostatic lens were determined by solving poison equation and the results showed low values of spherical and chromatic aberrations, which are considered as good criteria for good design.

Design, analysis and construction of a simple pulse duplicator system
...Show More Authors

One of the most important human diseases that need to be considered in terms of development of the medical engineering devices is cardiovascular disease which is a significant cause of death globally recently. Valvular heart disease is normally treated by restoring or altering heart valves with an artificial one. But the new prosthetic valve designs necessitate testing for durability estimate and failure method. It is significant to simulate the circulation system by the building of a pulse duplicator system. This study is stated by clarifying the parameter and implementation steps of the pulse duplicator system in which the different researchers have utilized the system and tried to explain the design steps of using this system wit

Design Investigation of 4 × 4 Nonblocking Hybrid Plasmonic Electrooptic Switch
...Show More Authors

This paper proposes a compact, plasmonic-based 4 × 4 nonblocking switch for optical networks. This device uses six 2 × 2 plasmonic Mach-Zehnder switch (MZS), whose arm waveguide is supported by a JRD1 polymer layer as a high electro-optic coefficient material. The 4 × 4 switch is designed in COMSOL environment for 1550 nm wavelength operation. The performance of the proposed switch outperforms those of conventional (nonplasmonic) counterparts. The designed switch yields a compact structure ( 500 × 70   µ m 2 ) having V π L = 12   V · µ m , 1.5 THz optical bandwidth, 7.7 dB insertion loss, and −26.5 dB crosstalk. The capability of the switch to route 8 × 40 Gbps WDM signal is demonstrated successfully.

Second Order Sliding Mode Controller Design for Pneumatic Artificial Muscle
...Show More Authors

In this paper, first and second order sliding mode controllers are designed for a single link robotic arm actuated by two Pneumatic Artificial Muscles (PAMs). A new mathematical model for the arm has been developed based on the model of large scale pneumatic muscle actuator model. Uncertainty in parameters has been presented and tested for the two controllers. The simulation results of the second-order sliding mode controller proves to have a low tracking error and chattering effect as compared to the first order one. The verification has been done by using MATLAB and Simulink software.

Design a Multi-Choice Fuzzy Control System of the Greenhouse
...Show More Authors

Applications of nonlinear, time variant, and variable parameters represent a big challenge in a conventional control systems, the control strategy of the fuzzy systems may be represents a simple, a robust and an intelligent solution for such applications.

This paper presents a design of fuzzy control system that consists of three sub controllers; a fuzzy temperature controller (FC_T), a fuzzy humidity controller (FC_H) and a ventilation control system; to control the complicate environment of the greenhouse (GH) using a proposed multi-choice control system approach. However, to reduce the cost of the crop production in the GH, the first choice is using the ventilation system to control the temperature and humidit

Sliding Mode Vibration Suppression Control Design for a Smart Beam
...Show More Authors

Active vibration control is the main problem in different structure. Smart material like piezoelectric make a structure smart, adaptive and self-controlling so, they are effective in active vibration control. In this paper piezoelectric elements are used as sensors and actuators in flexible structures for sensing and actuating purposes, and to control the vibration of a cantilever beam by using sliding mode control. The sliding mode controller (SMC) is designed to attenuate the vibration induced by initial tip displacement which is equal to 15 mm.  It is designed based on the balance realization reduction method where three states are selected for the reduced model from the 24th states that describe the c
