Purpose: This study aimed to assess the thickness of alveolar bone of maxillary and mandibular incisors from orthodontics perspective. Materials and Method: A total of 73 Cone beam computed tomography for Iraqi patients (47 females and 26 males) were included in this study. To measure alveolar bone thickness, a reference line was drawn through the long axis of each incisor, from the incisal edge to the root apex. Soil samples from fields cultivated with barley and wheat in addition to samples
from spoiled orange and apple fruits and carrot roots were collected with the aim to
isolate cellulase producing bacterial strains. Bacterial isolates obtained from these
samples were grown on a selective medium containing carboxymethyl cellulose
(CMC) as a sole source for carbon and energy. Results showed that nine isolates out

This paper describes the first occurrence of the monogenetic trematode Silurodiscoides
mediacanthus (Achmerow, 1952) in Iraq from gills of the cyprinid fish Barbus luteus from
Diyala river, Diyala province, Iraq. The description and measurements of this parasite were
