Metaphor in product design: قيس والي عباس
...Show More Authors

Addresses current research to the subject of metaphor as a field important in the design of industrial product, so it was a problem search: Does industrial product which is designed mainly to reflect the principle of metaphor role in receiving, and how the application of mechanisms theory correct as stipulated in institutions metaphor properly for this orientation in achieving those metaphors. What are the relations of reciprocity that influenced the establishment of the design and construction of the system for industrial product, the objectives of the research were standing on the interactive nature of the relations between the metaphor and the process of industrial product design? And identify strengths and weaknesses in the processes employing the principle of metaphor in the design process of the industrial product, by detecting the nature of metaphors and projections in this direction. After providing mechanisms detailed on the subject through the theoretical framework, eating researcher range of industrial products (cars) and discussed mechanisms employ the principles of metaphor in its various forms, the researcher to a range of results, including consistency requirements of functionality in industrial products, explicitly and compressor with features borrowed Nickname of it, which produced designs and hired elements in a harmonious and consistent with the formal construction of an alias of it.. As researcher conclusions alia, that the mystery and complexity of the receipt of the function a malfunction causing the deficiency in the aesthetic aspect of the product manufacturing based on the metaphor is, so it is essential that characterized the product is easy to use and simplicity with hiring good for advanced technology, on the other hand an interactive process between the product and the user another tributary imparted aesthetic values in the product derived from the functional efficiency of him

Design new D-π-A materials for sensitizers for dye-sensitized solar cells: Quantum chemical study
...Show More Authors

Within this paper, we developed a new series of organic chromophores based on triphenyleamine (TPA) (AL1, AL-2, AL-11 and AL-22) by engineering the structure of the electron donor (D) unit via replacing a phenyle ring or inserting thiophene as a π-linkage. For the sake of scrutinizing the impact of the TPA donating ability and the spacer upon the photovoltaic, absorptional, energetic, and geometrical characteristic of these sensitizers, density functional theory (DFT) and time-dependent DFT (TD-DFT) have been utilized. According to structural characteristics, incorporating the acceptor, π-bridge and TPA does not result in a perfect coplanar conformation in AL-22. We computed EHOMO, ELUMO and bandgap (Eg) energies by performing frequency a

Design and implementation of a smart home automation system based on global system for mobile communications
...Show More Authors

Recently, there has been an increasing advancement in the communications technology, and due to the increment in using the cellphone applications in the diverse aspects of life, it became possible to automate home appliances, which is the desired goal from residences worldwide, since that provides lots of comfort by knowing that their appliances are working in their highest effi ciency whenever it is required without their knowledge, and it also allows them to control the devices when they are away from home, including turning them on or off whenever required. The design and implementation of this system is carried out by using the Global System of Mobile communications (GSM) technique to control the home appliances – In this work, an ele

Design and Testing a Neutrons and Gamma-Rays Multilayer Shield Using Different Groups of Cross – Sections
...Show More Authors

A preventing shield for neutrons and gamma rays was designed using alternate layers of water and iron with pre-fixed dimensions in order to study the possibility of attenuating both neutrons and gamma-rays. ANISN CODE was prepared and adapted for the shield calculation using radiation doses calculation: Two groups of cross-section were used for each of neutrons and gamma-rays that rely on the one – dimensional transport equation using discrete ordinate's method, and through transforming cross-section values to values that are independent on the number of groups. The memory size required for the applied code was reduced and the results obtained were in agreement with those of standard acceptable document samples of cross –section, this a

Evaluation of subject curriculum vocabulary Fundamentals of design from the point of view of its teachers

The curriculum is a tool of the basic tools that seek through which educational institutions to achieve the objectives of any educational policy, and therefore must be a practical application of curriculum objectives of this policy. If, however, described the separate curricula for educational policy, that would be evidence of planning that leads to failure in achieving the great goals of society. The curriculum does not include the subject of education only, but goes to all the educational experiences that achieve the desired behavioral goals.
When goal-setting study for any of the articles should study the use of the overall goals of the article. And therefore must serve the general goals of academic material and objectives in one d

Geological Considerations Related to Casing setting depth selection and design of Iraqi oil wells (case study)
...Show More Authors

Well integrity is a vital feature that should be upheld into the lifespan of the well, and one constituent of which casing, necessity to be capable to endure all the interior and outside loads. The casing, through its two basic essentials: casing design and casing depth adjustment, are fundamental to a unique wellbore that plays an important role in well integrity. Casing set depths are determined based on fracturing pressure and pore pressure in the well and can usually be obtained from well-specific information. Based on the analyzes using the improved techniques in this study, the following special proposition can be projected: The selection of the first class and materials must be done correctly and accurately in accordance with

Design, Synthesis and Kinetic Study of Coumarin-Based Mutual Prodrug of 5-Fluorouracil and Dichloroacetic acid
...Show More Authors

On the basis of known coumarin-based prodrug system, a novel coumarin-based mutual prodrug of 5-fluorouracil and dichloroacetic acid was designed, synthesized and evaluated as a promising oral chemotherapeutic agent basing on in vitro stability study in HCl buffer (pH 1.2) and in phosphate buffer (pH 7.4), as well as in vitro release study in human serum. The chemical structure of prodrug was confirmed by analyzing its FTIR, 1H NMR, 13C NMR and MS-ESI spectra. The results of in vitro kinetic study indicated that the prodrug was significantly stable in HCl and in phosphate buffers, and was hydrolyzed in human serum followed pseudo first order kinetics.

Design and Construction of Nanostructure TiO2 Thin Film Gas Sensor Prepared by R.F Magnetron Sputtering Technique
...Show More Authors

In this research, Mn-doped TiO2 thin films were grown on glass, Si and OIT/glass substrates by R.F magnetron sputtering technique with thicknesses (250 nm) using TiO2:Mn target under Ar gas pressure and power of 100 Watt. Through the results of X-ray diffraction, the prepared thin films are of the polycrystallization type after the process of annealing at 600°C for two hour The average crystalline size were 145.32, 280.97 and 261.23 nm for (TiO2:Mn) thin film on glass, Si and OIT/glass substrates respectively, while the measured surface roughness is between 0.981nm and 1.14 nm. The fabricated (TiO2:Mn) thin film on glass sensors have high sensitivity for hydrogen( H2 reducing gas) compared to the sensitivity for hydrogen gas on Si and OIT/
