Usage of the visual elements in the interior designing of indoor swimming pools
...Show More Authors

The research specializes in (Usage of the visual elements in the interior designing of indoor swimming pools), the research seeks to provide a study that contributes to providing scientific and knowledge material, as a reference for researchers, students of interior design and architecture, and companies constructing indoor swimming pools.
The objective research is to detect the actual state of the interior design of the indoor swimming pools, and recognize the most important standards and techniques used in its design to provide appropriate design solutions if needed also Proposing a development proposals for the interior design of indoor swimming pools, the theoretical framework of this study, included two sections, The first one talked about the emergence of indoor swimming pools and their components, and the second section talked about the visual elements in the interior design of the indoor swimming pools, as the descriptive approach was followed in the process of analyzing the research sample, so the most important result was: (The research sample did not achieve all of the standards required to be available in the proses of designing its visual elements, it did accomplish some of them), and the most important conclusion was: (international design standards must be followed in the processes of designing the visual elements (colors, lighting and finishing materials) of indoor swimming pools, because these elements are directly related to ensuring the comfort and safety of their users)

Removal of Cadmium(II) ion from aqueous solutions by the outer layer of Onion
...Show More Authors
Abstract
Cadmium element is one of the group IIB and classified as heavy metal and effects on human health and environment. The present work concerns with the biosorption of Cd(II) ions from aqueous solution using the outer layer of onions. Adsorption of the used ions was found to be pH dependent and maximum removal of the ions by outer layer of onions and was found to be 99.7%.

Effect of melatonin administration with different light colors on the production of local chickens
...Show More Authors

This study aims to observe the effect of melatonin implantation and exposure to different light colors and their interaction on productive in local Iraqi chicken. This study was conducted at the poultry farm of the Department of Animal Production/College of Agriculture/University of Baghdad/Abu Ghraib, on 252 birds (180 females and 72 males). The birds were divided into three sections (white, red and green) each section contains two lines, one of which has been planted melatonin under the skin of the neck of birds and the other has not been planted hormone. The results of the study showed significant improvement in productive traits such as egg proportion rate, egg weight, cumulative eggs number, egg mass and feed conversion rate. That the

Effects of Sandy Soil-structure Interaction on the Natural Period of RC Building Frames
...Show More Authors
Abstract
Building natural period, T, is a key character in building response for wind and seismic induced forces. In design practice, the period, T, is either estimated from empirical relations proposed by the design codes or determined from analytical or numerical models. The effect of the soil-structure interaction is usually neglected in the design practice and analysis models. This paper uses a sophisticated finite element simulation to investigate the effect of soil-structure modeling on the fundamental period of RC buildings subjected to wind and seismic induced forces. A typical interior building frame has been imitated using the frame element for beams and columns with constrains to mo
... Show More

Synthesis and Characterization Of CaMgO2 Nanoparticles Photocatalyst For the Decolorization Of Orange G Dye
...Show More Authors

A series of heterogeneous basic catalysts of CaO, MgO and CaMgO2 at different calcination temperature were synthesized via solution combustion method. Different characterization techniques have been carried out to investigate the structure of the produced catalysts i.e. X-ray diffraction (XRD), particle size analyzer, morphology by atomic force microscope (AFM) and reflection using UV-VIS diffuse reflectance spectra. The particles size analyzer revealed that the mixed oxide catalysts calcined at different calcination temperature possess smaller nano size particles compared to pure CaO. Moreover, the energy band gap was calculated based on the results of diffuse reflectance spectra. The energy band gap was redu

Irradiation Duration Effect of Gamma Ray on the Compressive Strength of Reactive Powder Concrete
...Show More Authors

Reactive Powder Concrete (RPC) could be considered as the furthermost significant modern high compressive strength concrete. In this study, an experimental investigation on the impact of micro steel fiber volume fraction ratio and gamma ray irradiation duration influence upon the compressive strength of RPC is presented. Three volume fraction ratios (0.0, 1.0 and 1.5) % was implemented. For each percentage of the adopted fiber ratios, six different irradiation duration was considered; these are (1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6) days. Gamma source (Cs-137) of energy (0.662) MeV and activity (6) mci was used. In a case of zero volume fraction ratio, the experimental results showed that gamma ray had a significant influence on the reducing of the

Effect of canal dryness and flaring on the accuracy of two electronic apex locators
...Show More Authors

Background: This in vitro study evaluated the effect of canal dryness and flaring on the accuracy of two electronic apex locators for working length (WL) determination. Materials and methods: Sixty extracted teeth were used, after access opening was done, the occlusal surface was flattened to create stable reference point. The teeth were randomly divided into two equal main groups of flared and unflared group each one of 30 teeth. The flaring was done with Gates Glidden drills. The two main groups were further subdivided into two subgroups: dry canal and wet canal using 5.25% sodium hypochlorite groups, Electronic WL of each sample was determined using both Root ZX and i-Root apex locator. Consequently, histologic WL was determined by shav
