This study is concerned look at the role of satellite channels in the dissemination of
consumer culture that has become part of our everyday lives , which is a dangerous
phenomenon on society , so the study is aimed at introducing the concept of consumer culture
and the risks to individuals , which conducted a field study on a sample of students from the
University of Baghdad, as they represent an important category of the society they are a class
of young people to get to know the impact of satellite television on them through their various
programs and serials, films and ads may develop consumer culture they have , including in
respect of ideas and information , where the questionnaire was developed to ensure different
questions and distributed to the research sample , and results show that the Spread a large
proportion of the sample are affected , including its programs and informational materials
which affects the consumption of goods and culture.
This study aims to know how much and how long the Iraqi women's
watch space channels and expose to them and if these channels mee their
need to get knowledge information an entertainment . the role played by
these channels to provide Iraqi women with news about their community to
meet their needs and motives. this study also aims to know much the Iraqi
women expose to these channels and to know the favorable type of the
channels for them and the causes of that and know favorable programs and
why. also it aims to know the types of the if these channels deal with the Iraqi
women's problems and if the women get any advantage either behavior
