The revolution of technology in the 21st century has changed radically the
climate of opinion concerning second language education. In order to excel in
today’s world, teachers and learners need to adopt new roles and be equipped with
new skills and competencies that go beyond the basic ones of listening, speaking,
reading, and writing; skills that cannot be gained if teachers teach mere academic
subjects, and students are evaluated on how well they have learnt the minute sub
skills in those content areas.
This session will touch upon several skills which may be considered the
new basics of the 21st century. Among these skills are: autonomy, active learning,
critical thinking, cooperative learning, and digital learning (AACCD). Digital
literacy with its opportunities and challenges will be the core of this session due to
its novelty which makes it worth studying. It will also explore university teachers’
attitudes towards using digital learning. The session will end up with some
suggestions for consideration if teachers and educators are truly looking forward to
excellence in the ELT profession.
This study focuses on the writing skill which is a social act .Students need to express
themselves in writing, but students of History and Geography departments are poor in
writing. This study aims at identifying and classifying the errors committed by the
students, and then giving remedies.
Writing can be considered as a channel or as a goal of language learning.
Students learn to write in a foreign language. Writing as a goal basically focuses on
the development of writing skills to fulfill such purposes as note-taking, summarizing,

One of the biomedical image problems is the appearance of the bubbles in the slide that could occur when air passes through the slide during the preparation process. These bubbles may complicate the process of analysing the histopathological images. The objective of this study is to remove the bubble noise from the histopathology images, and then predict the tissues that underlie it using the fuzzy controller in cases of remote pathological diagnosis. Fuzzy logic uses the linguistic definition to recognize the relationship between the input and the activity, rather than using difficult numerical equation. Objective: Evaluation of women's knowledge about risk factors and early detection of breast cancer at
Ibn Rushd college of education in Baghdad University.
Methodology: The study sample included (184) women in the Ibn Rushd College / University of
Baghdad, whose age ranged between (17-58) years. Data were collected through a structured
questionnaire prepared by the National Cancer Research Center which were answered during a scientific
symposium about breast cancer. The score was calculated by correcting the results of the answer, giving
one score for each correct answer and then estimating the level of knowledge and inputting all data in a
