This study deals with The Millstone (1965) which is a dramatic depiction of a single
mother heroine in a classic predicament. This novel is considered as representative of the age
in which it was written. The primary theme is her intense preoccupation with questions of
fatalism and will. The work also involves, both explicitly and implicitly, feminist concerns.
Because the central protagonist is a woman and the society in which she lives is depicted,
accurately, as deeply patriarchal and class-bound, the problem of the individual's capacity for
self-determination is inevitably tied to the feminist perspective.

The current research aims at identifying the level of violence against women and relationship with psychological pain according to social status . To achieve the aims of the study a sample has been chosen to be (200) employers distributed to five colleges at Baghdad university. The violence scale which consists of (23) items in its final from , and the psychological pain scale which consists of (30) items in its final form and extracted validity and reliability of the scale the findings of the study include the following :-

• The employers of Baghdad university don’t have any violence.
• The employers of Baghdad university don’t have any psychological pain .

Wrong behavioral deviations among youth witnessed an obvious growing, some of these deviations are, robbery, drug and internet addiction, and smoking. The problem of the research lies in the bad timing of jump shot and layup due to lack of experience. The subjects were (5) youth basketball players under eighteen of the season 2015 – 2016. The results showed that agility didn't reinforce some fundamental offensive skills ending in jump shot and layup. The researcher recommended stressing offensive fundamental skills ending jump shot and layup without connecting it with agility. The training experience of most players participating in basketball league is very little thus more time should be offered to them before getting them into the league.
