A simple ,accurate and sensitive spectrophotometric method has been developed the determination of Cobalt(II) and Cupper (II) .The method is based on the chelation of Co(II) and Cu(II) ions with 4-(4´-pyrazolon azo) -2-Naphthol(APAN) in aqueous medium . The complexes have a maximum absorption at (513) and (506) nm and ? max 0.531×10 4 and 0.12×10 5 L.mol -1.cm -1 for Co(II) and Cu(II) respectively .The reagent and two complexes have been prepared in ethanolic solution.The stoichiometry of both complexes were found to be 1:2 (metal :legend) .The effects of various cations and anions on Co(II) and Cu(II) determination have been investigated .The stability constants and standard deviations for Co(II) and Cu(II) 0.291 x107 ,0.909X108 L.mol

Comparative taxonomic study has been compeleted for the species of the. genus Centaurium Hill. of Iraq. So the morphological characters were studied comparatively for the first time form Iraqi materials. Stems, leaves ,infloresences and reproductive organs characters were a good taxonomic importance. Geographical distrtribution has been done for the species of the genus in addition to the environment information. The results were presented with schedules, tables, maps and micrographs. Taxonomic key for the species separation was also presented.

    Extraction and preparation of red organic dye from beetroot plant in different concentrations by using the solvent extraction process. Ethanol was the solvent used to prepare five different concentrations at the ratio of (Dye: Ethanol) abbreviated (D: E) 5:0,4:1, 3:2, 2:3,1:4. The optical, structural, and morphological properties are studied for the samples. The results appeared using the UV-Vis spectroscope the maximum peak of absorption (A) spectrum at wavelength A_λmax=480 nm when the transmittance (T) at the same wavelength 25% and the reflectivity 0.8%.
