Dujaila River is one of the Tigris River branches, its length is 69.45 km, 15 m width and 2.80 m depth, and discharge rate is 42.15m3/Sec. The river provides the water share for 396 thousand Acres.
The primary objective of this study is to evaluate the suitability of water resources, for various purposes in the Dujaila River, Wasit Governorate-central Iraq. Physical and chemical properties have been investigated for 9 surface samples of the period August 2015- March 2016. The tests have been taken for the water major ions, total dissolved solids, electrical conductivity and acidity . A total of 437 individuals of Turbellarin Platyhelminthes were sorted from benthic samples collected monthly for a period of seven months( April to November 2013 ) from AL-Dalmage lake, a part of middle section for main outfall drain south of Baghdad. They were identified as Gyratrix hermaphroditus, Stenostomum leucops ,Stenostomum unicolar and Stenostomum bryophilum ,The relative abundance of worms decreased during hot season which (May to September) ,where they start rising again. The species were studied alive , the identification criteria were illustrated by photos. G. hermaphroditus was the most abundant species among the four species.

Fifteen samples of limestone, marls and, clay from the Fat'ha Formation are obtained from the location of Bashiqa village, Bashiqa anticline, Northeastern Iraq. A detailed investigation is carried out, during which twenty-four species of calcareous nannofossils identified, twenty- one are descried from other regions while three are left under an open name because of lack of material or insufficient samples. Besides, seventeen species of Ostracoda fossils were picked and diagnosed, including two subspecies, belonging to ten genera, and four subgenera.

Hydrogeological investigation and water budget calculation of Koi Sanjaq basin is carried out. This investigation includes the determination of the aquifer types extending through the study area and flow direction as well as aquifer hydraulic properties values. Three main unconfined aquifer types were distinguished , they are (Pilaspi), , (Bihassan-Muqdadiya and Fatha –Injana) Formations , where the flow map of the unconfined aquifers shows that the flow direction is from northern and northeastern parts towards the south and southeastern parts i.e. .Lesser Zab River. Water quality has become an important requirement in recent years, assumed the enormous pressure on water resources. As a result of the rapid population growth and climate change. Seven sampling stations were chosen along the river, specifically near the important cities. After analyzing the water samples, it was found that pH values range from (7.1 to 7.5). The values of total dissolved ions ranged from (730 to 1390) mg/l. It was found that the sodium percentage in the river water samples ranged from (36.8 to 51.3), which is acceptable for irrigation purposes. The water content of magnesium hazard ranges from (45.1 to 48.6), it is within the permissible limits for watering purposes. The residual sodium amounts range from (-4.01 to -2.86

This study aimed to isolate and identifye the growth of microorganisms and
their effect on pickled cucumber and cabbage, the study also investigated the effect of
garlic (in the form of segments, chopped or crushed) on the mentioned pickled –food
features . Furthermore, a sense based comparison is made between vinegar-preserved
samples and vinegar-garlic preserved ones.
