A computerized investigation has been carried out to design an immersion lens
with low aberration operating under zero magnification condition using inverse problem.
The aberration is highly dependent on the shape of electrodes, for a preassigned electron
beam trajectory the paraxial-ray-equation is solved to determine the electrostatic potential
and field distribution.
From the knowledge of the potential and its first and second derivative the
electron optical properties were computed, the electrode geometry was determined from
the solution of Laplace equation.
A promotion to a previous computer programmed technique "Photo-Micro Estimation Program" was carried out to compute the exact dimensions of cell and cell fraction in photographs of
histological sections. "Visual Basic 6" was used as a language for building of the antecedent application forms. With the aid of a slide micrometer, pixels were substituted for micrometer
(μm). The new procedure was termed "Photo-histometry program". To test the suitability of this program, eight photographs of histological sections were selected randomly to be tested. Results were contrasted with those calculated by using ocular lens (calibrated by a slide micrometer). Estimation of RBC diameter (well known, =7-8 μm) was
In this paper, a polymer-based composite material was prepared by hand Lay-up method consisting of epoxy resin as a base material filled with by magnesium oxide powder once and silicon dioxide powder again and with different weight ratios (3%, 6%, 9%, 12%). The three-point bending test was performed in normal conditions and after immersion in sulfuric acid. The results showed that the bending value decreased with the increase of the weighted ratio of the filled nano powder (MgO, SiO2) .The Bending of samples filled with by SiO2 was found to be less than the bending of samples filled with by particles (MgO), the bending of the SiO2 sample (0.32mm) at the weighted ratio (3%) and for the MgO (0.18mm) sample

The effects were studied qualitatively in terms of Point Spread Function (PSF) and Modulation Transfer Function (MTF), and quantitatively in terms of Root Mean Square Error (RMSE). Different values of radius of aperture were investigated in the presence and absence of spherical aberration with various magnitudes of spherical aberration (M=1, 2, and 3). The experiments were performed using homogeneous media.
The results show that imaging with incoherent illumination is better than imaging with coherent illumination, especially for small aperture. Also, we found that the effects of spherical aberration

Show MoreThe embryonic development of the Mosquito fish(Gambusia affinis) eye lens was investigated using light microscopy .The results indicated that the embryonic development of the lens does not correspond to that of the non spherical lenses of terrestrial vertebrates .This study showed that a very small cavity in the lens vesicle appears during development ,but it differs from that of the mammalian lens. The most important aspect in this study is that ,the posterior edge of the simple cuboidal epithelium which covers the anterior half of the surface of the lens is situated well beyond the equatorial region of the lens .As a result , the germinal and transitional zones became closer to the posterior pole rather than the anterior pole of the le

Poly methyl methacrylate PMMA polymer could be considered the main material that used mostly in the recent years in denture base fabrication. It commonly known by it is poor strength properties such as low impact strength. The aim of the present research was to enhance the performance of PMMA denture base through the addition of two kind of nanoparticles (nano particles that selected from artificial and natural sources). Nano -particles from both Al2O3 and crushed peanut Peel were used for comparing purposes.Various weight fraction used in this study for both kinds of the additive (1%, 2% and 3%). Moreover, in this work a study and evaluation in impact strength (I.S.) value were done before and after immersion. The new prepared nanocompo

Materials and methods: Discs of 30x2mm were made from Coe Super Soft and Coe Soft denture liners. Every 5 specimens were immersed separately and daily in CHX, Sodium hypochlorite and chlorine dioxide, control group specimens were immersed in the distilled water. Hardness property of the experimental and control groups was evaluated by using Shore A durometer after 1, 7, 30 days.
Results: Statistical analysis indicated non significant difference
In this paper, the performance of a silicon cell with a Fresnel lens (FL) for building a solar photovoltaic concentrator system was evaluated; the solar concentrator is a Fresnel lens, which is a point concentrator made of polymethyl-methacrylate (PMMA) as a thin lens for the optics system.
As the radiation from the sun on the solar cell is concentrated to the levels of solar radiation of 750, 1300, 1930, 2600, 4250, 7250, and 10500) W/m2, the work was conducted at the midday in summer weather conditions, with ambient temperatures ranging 40-45 °C. The evaluation was performed in three cases; each case was conducted in succession. The performance of the cell was evaluated first wit
