Abstract

         Theoretically, the aim of the paper is identify linguistic expressions, such as proverbs, wise sayings, and popular sayings, used by the playwright  A. N. Ostrovsky , along with their translations into Arabic by the Iraqi translator  Abdullah Habbah and the Syrian translator HashimHumadi. And practically, there were found about fifty sayings, made of proverbs, wise sayings and popular sayings, which were identified and taken into analysis in respect to their Arabic translation , with the  specification of the best rendition  of the original text.

The inhibitive action of Reactive Red (RR31) dye against corrosion of carbon steel in 1M acetic acid solution has been studied using gravimetric method at temperature ranged (288-318)K. The antibacterial activity for the different concentrations of RR31 dye against different bacterial species was studied. The experimental data indicates that this dye acts as a potential inhibitor for carbon-steel in acetic acid medium and the protection efficiency increase with increasing (RR31) dye. The depression is a suboval erosional topographic feature extending in E-Wdirection and located about 50 km north of Rutba Town, at the Western Desert of Iraq.
