The aim of this investigation was to study the impact of various reaction parameters on wastewater taken from Al-Wathba water treatment plant on Tigris River in south of Baghdad, Iraq with sodium hypochlorite solution. The parameters studied were sodium hypochlorite dose, contact time, initial fecal coliform bacteria concentration, temperature, and pH. In a batch reactor, different concentrations of sodium hypochlorite solution were used to disinfect 1L of water. The amount of hypochlorite ions in disinfected water was measured using an Iodimetry test for different reaction times, whereas the Most Probable Number (MPN) test was used to determine the concentration of coliform bacteria. The research includes a clinical study of Arginase and its relation with uterine fibroid. The normal value of arginase activity in female serum was found to be (0.52 ± 0.02 IU/L) in healthy group at age (35-55) years. The study also showed a highly significant increase in arginase activity (7.99 ± 0.23 IU/L) in serum of uterine fibroid patients group at (35-55years) in comparison to healthy.The results also indicated a highly significant increase in the level of progesterone, estradiol, prolactin, peroxynitrite and malondialdehyde in patients group. While a highly significant decrease in concentration of adiponectin in patients group was found in comparison to healthy.

The present study conducted on 120 obese males and 50 healthy males, their age ranged from 20-50 years. The patients were divided into 3 groups based on Body Mass Index (BMI) and Central Obesity (CO), it has noticed that there is a significant relation between both indexes. The DNA was isolated from the blood of patients and applies for PCR by using designed primers for exons 1 and 3 of GCG gene. The results showed that there are mutants in exon 1 at locus 9573 (G/C) for 30 patients and locus 9864 (C/-) for 10 patients with X2 = 12.30, also it has fund mutants in exon 3 at locus 5397 (A/G) for 28 patients and locus 5434 (G/A) for 8 patients with X2 = 11.11. These mutants have a high significant effect P≤ 0.001 to cause pathogenicity.
