Integration Routes Between Social Work and Voluntary Work: A Sociohistorical Perspective
...Show More Authors

The research problem is to determine the nature of the historical relationship between the profession of social work and volunteer work. Consequently, the research aims to investigate the nature of this relationship from a socio-historical perspective. Three axes have been used to analyze this relationship: the role of voluntary work in the development of the social work as a profession, the efforts made by social work to reach professionism and to distinguish it from voluntary work, and the relationship between social work and voluntary work. The research is qualitative analytical research and adopts the Mixed Methods Research (MMR). It identifies some literature for the analysis and implementation of a scoping process. It represents a systematic study approach to explore the socio-historical relationship between social work and voluntary work. To meet the objective of the study, the research sample has included several studies, research, and theoretical and scientific literature that address this historical relationship. The research has concluded the following: Voluntary work contributes to the emergence of the social work profession, as there is a strong relationship between them. Further, the formalization of the social work profession has an impact on the relationship with voluntary work, as government social workers would replace volunteers in providing many social services. As a result, the relationship between social work and volunteer work has evolved into a clear, strong, and solid collaboration. The research has recommended that the education curricula in Arab countries should imply the nature of the historical relationship of profession and voluntary work.

Investigation of the relationship between matrix metalloproteinase-9 and tissue inhibitor of metalloproteinase with SARS CoV-2 infections
...Show More Authors

SARS-CoV-2 stands for severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 which is the causative agent of spreading coronavirus disease 2019 that is known as COVID-19 pandemic, the disease leads to severe acute respiratory illness. Matrix metalloproteinases- 9 (MMP-9) plays several important physiological functions. This enzyme could also be implicated in the "cytokine storm" in some way, which may represent one of the possible scianrios during coronavirus infection, in addition to its role in the mechanism of lung fibrosis on molecular basis.. The tissue inhibitors of metalloproteinase (TIMPs) are well characterized for controlling the activity of MMPs in extracellular matrix remodeling. They also considered as signaling molecules anal

STUDY THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN BREMSSTRAHLUNG DOSE RATE AND THE ENERGY OF BETA RAY FOR DIFFERENT TYPES OF SHIELD
...Show More Authors

The dose rate for bremsstrahlung radiation from beta particles with energy (1.710) MeV and (2.28) MeV which comes from (32P and 90Y) beta source respectively have been calculated through six materials (polyethylene, wood, aluminum, iron, tungsten and lead) for first shielding material with thickness (x=1) mm which are putting between beta sources and second shield (polyethylene, aluminum and lead) with thickness (1, 2 &4) mm have been calculated. The distance between beta source and second shield is constant (D=1) cm. This dose rate was found by program called Rad Pro Calculator (version 3.26). The results of dose rate of beta particles were plotted as a function to the atomic number (Z) for first shield materials for each

Correlation between Paris function parameters to crack velocity for Alumina ceramics
...Show More Authors

The question about the existence of correlation between the parameters A and m of the Paris function is re-examined theoretically for brittle material such as alumina ceramic (Al2O3) with different grain size. Investigation about existence of the exponential function which fit a good approximation to the majority of experimental data of crack velocity versus stress intensity factor diagram. The rate theory of crack growth was applied for data of alumina ceramics samples in region I and making use of the values of the exponential function parameters the crack growth rate theory parameters were estimated.

Energy transfer process between two laser compounds coumarin 334 & rhodamine 590
...Show More Authors

Abstract: In the current research the absorption and fluorescence spectrum of Coumarin (334) and Rhodamine (590) in ethanol solvent at different concentration (10-3, 10-4, 10-5) M had been studied. The absorption intensity of these dyes increases as the Concentration increase in addition to that the spectrum was shifted towards the longer wavelength (red shift). The energy transfer process has been investigated after achievement this condition. The fluorescence peak intensity of donor molecule was decrease and its bandwidth will increases on the contrary of the acceptor molecule its intensity increase gradually and its bandwidth decreases as the acceptor concentration increase.

Comparison between the efficiency of serological tests for Identification of Brucellosis
...Show More Authors

Five serological methods for detection of Brucella were compaired in this study, Four of the methods are commonely used in the detections:- 1-Rose-Bengal: as primary screening test which depends on detecting antibodies in the blood serum. 2-IFAT: which detects IgG and IgM antibodies in the serum. 3-ELISA test: which detects IgG antibodies in the serum. 4-2ME test: which detects IgG antibodies The fifth methods. It was developed by a reasercher in one of the health centers in Baghdad. It was given the name of spot Immune Assay (SIA). Results declares that among (100) samples of patients blood, 76, 49, 49, 37, and 28. samples were positive to Rose Bengal, ELISA, SIA, 2ME and IFAT tests, respectively. When efficiency, sensitivity and specific

The Relationship between Formal Thinking & Learning Styles for Kindergarten Department Students
...Show More Authors

The current research aims to reveal the strength of education and the direction of the relationship between the formal thinking and learning methods of Kindergarten department students. To achieve this objective, the researcher developed a scale of formal thinking according to the theory of (Inhelder & Piaget 1958) consisting of (25) items in the form of declarative phrases derived from the analysis of formal thinking skills based on a professional situation that students are expected to interact with in a professional way. The research sample consisted of (100) female students selected randomly who were divided into four groups based on the academic stages, the results revealed that The level of formal thinking of the main sample is

In this paper, image compression technique is presented based on the Zonal transform method. The DCT, Walsh, and Hadamard transform techniques are also implements. These different transforms are applied on SAR images using Different block size. The effects of implementing these different transforms are investigated. The main shortcoming associated with this radar imagery system is the presence of the speckle noise, which affected the compression results.
