AI-Shidyaq is considering one of the scholars' of Arab modern Renaissance. He
enjoyed a dusting nished status among the men of letters of his age. He added many things in
language and literature that made him, during the Arab modern Renaissance, a pioneer
researcher in the 1900s. He had established a state for literature that turnal him in to one of
the critics of his age, to the extent that he was called the Eagle of Lebanon (similar to the
Eagle of Quraish).
He was also called the Jahiz of his age, Voltaire of his generation and Khleel of the
1900s. He was also called Victor Hugo.
He was characterized by a character of smoothness in style, Clarity in meaning and
purpose, an ability to analyze, Describe and write prose and poetry, He was so brilliant in
langrage, Rebetorics and grammar. That why he attracted many powerful people.
He participated in spreading Arabia culture by teaching Arabic in European schools and
compiling many books in different specializations. Al-Jawaeb printing house, Which was
founded by Al-Shidyaq, One of the most famous institutions in Islamic Arab culture in the
nineteenth century. it contributed in printer and publishing many masterpieces of Arab
heritage. Accordingly, many oriantalists praised the great role played by Ah-Shidyaq at that
time. He was dissented by orient list and historian (Gibb) as "one of the great heroes who
defend lslam". The death of Al-Shidyaq was considered a great loss, not only to our Arab
home lard but also to the whole world. This can be proved by his burial, which was attendedby many great scholars and wails'. Besides, his memory is still present up to now, for he is
referred to as one of the pioneers of modern Arab Renaissance.
At the conclusion of my research for this readiness, I am ready to show the most important results I have reached, of which I can mention the most important:
Sheikh Al-Safti was a memorizer and jurist, and all the scientific strokes that he left behind for subsequent generations were in the disciplines of Hanafi jurisprudence, and this does not obscure the opinions of the jurists of other schools of thought. The tentative list of the biodiversity (plants and vertebrates) of Bahr Al-Najaf depression is found to comprise 104 vertebrate species including 2 fishes, 14 reptiles, 73 resident and migratory birds and 15 mammals. The flora consists of 31 species, mainly of plants well adapted to desert conditions that dominate the area, besides few examples of water plants. The salinity was found, through chemical analysis of the lake water, to be of high value which reduces the diversity of aquatic animal and plant diversity.
