AI-Shidyaq is considering one of the scholars' of Arab modern Renaissance. He
enjoyed a dusting nished status among the men of letters of his age. He added many things in
language and literature that made him, during the Arab modern Renaissance, a pioneer
researcher in the 1900s. He had established a state for literature that turnal him in to one of
the critics of his age, to the extent that he was called the Eagle of Lebanon (similar to the
Eagle of Quraish).
He was also called the Jahiz of his age, Voltaire of his generation and Khleel of the
1900s. He was also called Victor Hugo.
He was characterized by a character of smoothness in style, Clarity in meaning and
purpose, an ability to analyze, Describe and write prose and poetry, He was so brilliant in
langrage, Rebetorics and grammar. That why he attracted many powerful people.
He participated in spreading Arabia culture by teaching Arabic in European schools and
compiling many books in different specializations. Al-Jawaeb printing house, Which was
founded by Al-Shidyaq, One of the most famous institutions in Islamic Arab culture in the
nineteenth century. it contributed in printer and publishing many masterpieces of Arab
heritage. Accordingly, many oriantalists praised the great role played by Ah-Shidyaq at that
time. He was dissented by orient list and historian (Gibb) as "one of the great heroes who
defend lslam". The death of Al-Shidyaq was considered a great loss, not only to our Arab
home lard but also to the whole world. This can be proved by his burial, which was attendedby many great scholars and wails'. Besides, his memory is still present up to now, for he is
referred to as one of the pioneers of modern Arab Renaissance.
Two different oxidative desulfurization strategies based on oxidation/adsorption or oxidation/extraction were evaluated for the desulfurization of AL-Ahdab (AHD) sour crude oil (3.9wt% sulfur content). In the oxidation process, a homogenous oxidizing agent comprising of hydrogen peroxide and formic acid was used. Activated carbons were used as sorbent/catalyst in the oxidation/adsorption process while acetonitrile was used as an extraction solvent in the oxidation/extraction process. ... Show MoreThe aim of this research is to develop mechanical properties of a new aluminium-lithium-copper alloy. This alloy prepared under control atmosphere by casting in a permanent metal mould. The microstructure was examined and mechanical properties were tested before and after heat treatment to study the influence of heat treatment on its mechanical properties including; modulus of elasticity, tensile strength, impact, and fatigue. The results showed that the modulus of elasticity of the prepared alloy is higher than standard alloy about 2%. The present study deals with the story of Epidemic in two literary works issued in the same year (1947). One of them is a novel titled "Plague" written by the French writer Alber Kamo, the second is a poem of the Iraqi poetess Nazik Al-Malaekah.
