Social Media and Academic Excellence
...Show More Authors

The current research seeks to shed light on the role that social media can play, through the optimal use of it by students, in achieving academic excellence. The most prominent aims that constitute it are:Identifying the social sites most used by students; learning how students interact with the published study material on communication sites and benefit from them to achieve their academic excellence; and knowing the connection between using social media and achieving academic excellence, and the role that these sites play in achieving academic excellence. That incorrect use by students leads to adverse results, and thus affects their academic level. Failure of parents to monitor their student’ use of social media leads to the lack of benefit from them in achieving academic excellence. This means the lack of procetures for monitoring these networks makes them more harmful for Students. Moreover, the excessive use of social media by students has a negative impact on the student’s performance of his homework. It has negative effects on his health as well. In light of the results reached, the researchers presented a set of   recommendations, including:Parents should ensure that their children use social media as a tool to improve their children's educational level. Students should better manage their study time and prevent distortions that social media can provide. Students must strike a balance between using the means of communication and their study duties in a way that does not affect their studies. Students, during their use of social media, focus on the scientific importance of these sites instead of using them entertainment.

Human Dignity and the Problem of Women Cutting Off Prayer: Women Cutting Off Prayer
...Show More Authors

Our creator has honored human beings and granted them a noble place, the provisions of the Islamic system are designed to strengthen and consolidate this dignity and respect. Since women are human beings, they have their respect, status and dignity. There are some prophetic sayings concerning women that may be understood as contrary to this value, the value of dignity and respect for human beings. One example is the Hadith of a woman cutting off a man’s prayer if she passed in front of his prayer. The study examines this topic and presents answers for it.

In dealing with the subject, the study followed the descriptive, analytical and deductive approach of mentioning legislative texts, analyzing them and deducing

Two meshless methods for solving nonlinear ordinary differential equations in engineering and applied sciences
...Show More Authors
Abstract<p>In this paper, two meshless methods have been introduced to solve some nonlinear problems arising in engineering and applied sciences. These two methods include the operational matrix Bernstein polynomials and the operational matrix with Chebyshev polynomials. They provide an approximate solution by converting the nonlinear differential equation into a system of nonlinear algebraic equations, which is solved by using Mathematica® 10. Four applications, which are the well-known nonlinear problems: the magnetohydrodynamic squeezing fluid, the Jeffery-Hamel flow, the straight fin problem and the Falkner-Skan equation are presented and solved using the proposed methods. Photophysics of Coumarin 460: Temperature Effect upon Fluorescence Lifetime and Non-Radiative Rate Parameter
...Show More Authors

The temperature influence on the fluorescence lifetime, quantum yields and non-radiative rate parameter or coumarin 460 dye dissolved in methanol was investigated in the temperature range (160-300 k). A single photon counting technique was used or measuring the fluorescence decay curves. A noticeable decrease of the fluorescence lifetime with increasing the temperature was observed. The non-radiative activation energy of 10.57 K.J. mole-1 was measured by the help of Arrhenius plot.

Sorption of Lead, Zinc and Copper from Simulated Wastewater by Amberlite Ir-120 Resin
...Show More Authors

The presence of heavy metals in the environment is major concern due to their toxicity. In the present study a strong acid cation exchange resin, Amberlite IR 120 was used for the removal of lead, zinc and copper from simulated wastewater. The optimum conditions were determined in a batch system of concentration 100 mg/L, pH range between 1 and 8, contact time between 5 and 120 minutes, and amount of adsorbent was from 0.05 to 0.45 g/100 ml. A constant stirring speed, 180 rpm, was chosen during all of the experiments. The optimum conditions were found to be pH of 4 for copper and lead and pH 6 for zinc, contact time of 60 min and 0.35 g of adsorbent. Three different temperatures (25, 40 and 60°C) were selected to investigate the effect

This paper concerns with openness concept in contemporary learning environment, which ranges from physical characters to its relation with learning efficiency and its output. Previous literatures differ to clear the effect of openness on the engagement between learner within themselves, and with this kind of spaces. Engagement means: active participation, the ability of making dialogue, self-reflection and the ability to explore and communicate with them and
within learning space. Research roblem was: The lack of knowledge about the effect of Openness on learner engagement with learning spaces. The two concepts were applied on three types of learning spaces in the Department of the Architectu

Hypothyroidism is a frequent disorder in the general population, especially among women, is defined as adeficiency of thyroid activity that results from insufficient production or action of thyroid hormones leading to a totaldecrease of metabolic. Human leukocyte antigen is the most polymorphic genetic system in man. Genes of this regioninfluence susceptibility to certain diseases. Objectives: The purpose of the present study is to investigate the role of HLA-DRB1 genotyping in hypothyroidpatients with and without periodontitis. Sixty hypothyroid patients 30 of patients were with periodontitis and 30without periodontitis compare with 30 healthy subjects as control enrolled in this study. Breast cancer (BC) is the most prevalent tract cancer in the world, including Iraq. The classified breast tumors to benign, malignant, and radiotherapy. Cancer treatment depends on certain stages such as mastectomy then chemotherapy alone or with radiation therapy or endocrine therapy according to the prognostic features obtained from the pathology report. The present study included 100 females. The women were split into two groups, control group that consisted of 50 apparently healthy females and 50 patients with BC group who undergo the radiotherapy. The current study highlighted on some of the anthropometric measurements, including the oxidative stress index malondialdehyde (MDA), the concentrations of total antioxidant capacity (TAC), s

Formulation and In Vivo Evaluation of Ticagrelor-Loaded Spanlastic Nanovesicles to Enhance Intestinal Absorption
...Show More Authors
Introduction:

Ticagrelor (TCG) is an effective P2Y12 receptor antagonist used to prevent atherothrombotic cardiovascular events; however, its poor solubility and limited permeability (BCS Class IV) restrict its oral bioavailability. Spanlastic Nanovesicles (SNVs), composed of nonionic surfactants and edge activators, offer a promising strategy to enhance drug solubility and permeability. This study aimed to develop and optimize TCG-loaded SNVs using the ethanol injection method, validate a sensitive HPLC method for TCG quantification, and evaluate the pharmacokinetic and antiplatelet performance of the optimized formulation in rats.

In-Silico profiling of new pyrazoline derivatives as histone deacetylase 2 and 6 inhibitors
...Show More Authors

Massive efforts have been focused on designing of new anticancer medications. One of these approaches is inhibiting histone deacetylase (HDAC) which have a major role in regulation of cellular epigenetic processes. The non- selectivity of HDAC inhibitors is the major limitation for their use, therefore, recent researches have been oriented toward introducing of selective(HDAC) inhibitors through inhibition of HDAC2 and HDAC6 enzymes. A set of pyrazoline derivatives was designed and virtually studied by means of molecular docking, ADME, and molecular dynamics (MD) simulations. Compound 5 showed promising virtual binding affinity on the HDAC 2 and 6 inhibitors, and exhibited more in silico affinities to (4LXZ)& (5EEI) respectively than SAHA.
