In the present work, radon gas concentrations in different surface soil samples in Baghdad governorate were measured using RAD-7 detector. The results have been shown that, the Radon gas concentrations ranged between (41.67±1.78Bq/m3), to (185.67±4.22Bq/m3), a map showing the distribution of the concentration of radon in selected areas was defined to identify areas with high pollution level. The reason for the high concentration of radon is that these surface soil samples are taken from agricultural areas. Nuclear shell model is adopted to calculate the electric quadrupole moments for some Calcium isotopes 20Ca (N = 21, 23, 25, and 27) in the fp shell. The wave function is generated using a two body effective interaction fpd6 and fp space model. The one body density matrix elements (OBDM) are calculated for these isotopes using the NuShellX@MSU code. The effect of the core-polarizations was taken through the theory microscopic by taking the set of the effective charges. The results for the quadrupole moments by using Bohr-Mottelson (B-M) effective charges are the best. The behavior of the form factors of some Calcium isotopes was studied by using Bohr-Mottelson (B-M) effective charges.

The pleomorphic adenoma is a benign salivary gland tumor, presenting usually in the parotid gland. This case report describes an unusual case of 29 years old female with a single, nodular swelling evident in the upper lip which was diagnosed as pleomorphic adenoma of the minor salivary glands in the upper lip .The lesion measured 1.0 x 1.0 cm in size for 2 years duration cause depression of labial cortical bone apical to lateral and canine teeth. It is characterized by slow growth. Complete excision was performed and the histopathological analysis supported by immunohistochemistry showed pleomorphic adenoma .It did not recur 18 months after operation.
