وظَّفَ الشاعرُ مجد الدين النُّشَّابي الصورة الاستعارية التي شكلت سمةً جمالية بارزة من سماتِ التشكيل الشعري عنده, وأحد المكونات الأساسية في بنية قصائده الشعرية وهي جوهر الإبداع ومحط التذوق عند المتلقي, إذ يشكل الشاعر صوره الاستعارية المتنوعة متولدة من خياله وعواطفه ومتوافقة مع الموضوع لتصبح الصورة  الاستعارية ركنًّا من أركان التشكيل الفني الشعري عند الشاعر .

والتصوير الاستعاري له القدرة بالتشكيل الجمالي على جعل الأشياء غير المشخصة مشخصة وغير المحسوسة محسوسة مما يمنح السياق القدرة على التأثير والإبداع، إذ يعتمد بناؤها على عنصري التشخيص والتجسيد للتأثير في المتلقي وشحن أفكارهِ وخيالهِ. ويقوم الشاعر في تشكيل الاستعارة بإنشاء صور من الألفاظ والمعاني يقدمهاللمتلقي للتواصل معه حتى يستطيع أن يتبناها ويعترف بقيمتها ويحافظ عليها وينتصر لها وبهذا تصبح من شخصيته الثقافية والسلوكية, وانحراف الدلالة في التصوير الاستعاري يبدو جزءًا بنقل اللفظ من معناه في أصل الوضع إلى معنى آخر، ومبدأ الربط بينهما قائم على التشبيه.

    The tentative list of the biodiversity (plants and vertebrates) of Bahr Al-Najaf depression is found to comprise 104 vertebrate species including 2 fishes, 14 reptiles, 73 resident and migratory birds and 15 mammals. The flora consists of 31 species, mainly of plants well adapted to desert conditions that dominate the area, besides few examples of water plants. The salinity was found, through chemical analysis of the lake water, to be of high value which reduces the diversity of aquatic animal and plant diversity.
