أهتم الجغرافيون بالكوارث الطبيعية منذ عشرينيات القرن الماضي وزاد الاهتمام بها بسبب التطور الحضري في العالم والتنمية الاقتصادية مما زاد من قيمة الأصول في الدول مما يعني، من جانب آخر، تزايد الخسائر البشرية والمادية. لكن المهم هو تفاوت هذه الخسائر بين الدول وفي داخلها بين من يملك القدرة على تفادي الكارثة او التكييف لها ومن لا يملك ذلك. وهنا تبرز مشكلة البحث التي تتحدد في بيان مدى قدرة الدول على مواجهة زيادة عدد وتأثيرات الكوارث الطبيعية وعلاقة ذلك بمفاهيم القوة، والسيادة، والنفوذ وغيرها مما يتطلب تحليل تلك الظواهر وتفسير تفاوت آثارها في ضوء أفكار الجغرافيا السياسية. وعليه، فقد تم تقسيم البحث الى ثلاثة أجزاء: تناول الجزء الأول تطور الاهتمام الجغرافي بالكوارث مع تعريف الكارثة وانواعها وخصائصها. أما الجزء الثاني فقد كرس للمقاربات التي استعملت في دراسة الكوارث. بينما الجزء الثالث تم فيه مناقشة ابعاد الكوارث الطبيعية: الاجتماعية – السياسية- الاقتصادية
لاحظ صناع القرار السياسي عدم مشاركتهم لمجموعة من الطوائف الاجتماعية في صنع القرار السياسي للدولة، مما دفعهم لتقوية هذه الطوائف، وتمت التدقيق في الجانب النسوي وعدم مشاركتهم في اتخاذ القرارات رغم الفئة الكبير منهم في المجتمع، مما أدى لاتخاذ أنظمة تساعد على تمثيل هذه الفئة في الحكم النيابي من خلال نظام الكوتا.
The study discusses the marketing profile of electoral candidates and politicians especially the image that takes root in the minds of voters has become more important than the ideologies in the technological era or their party affiliations and voters are no longer paying attention to the concepts of a liberal, conservative, right-wing or secular, etc. while their interests have increased towards candidates. The consultants and image experts are able to make a dramatic shift in their electoral roles. They, as specialists in the electoral arena, dominate the roles of political parties.
The importance of the study comes from the fact that the image exceeds its normal framework in our contemporary world to become political and cultural

Mangrove landscaping in the Segara Anakan Lagoon (SAL) is an adaptation pattern of mangrove ecosystems to live and grow in unstable areas. This research aimed to develop a mangrove landscape to mitigate the impacts of ocean waves, currents, and inundation due to climate change. The study was conducted in SAL and Cilacap Coast (CC) using the environmental properties and climate change data. The data obtained were analyzed using mapping and trendline analyses. The results showed that mangrove landscaping in Segara Anakan had four zones with Nypa frutican, Rhizophora styllosa, Aegiceras corniculatum, Rhizophora apiculata, Avicennia marina, Sonneratia alba identified as the best adaptation of mangrove species.
