The essay investigates the rise and development of the prose poem form in Iraqi poetry in the period during and after the 1980s Iraq–Iran war. The essay follows the legacy of Western experiments with form following the First World War and their impact on the development of form in Iraqi poetry culminating in the prose poem. The dominance of this form on poetic development in this period has a close relationship with the experience of warfare and the ensuing of the cultural changes in Iraq after 1980. Poets of the 1980s war used poetic form as a means of dissent. Abstract :In this study, amygdaline in Iraqi plant seeds was extracted and isolated from their seeds matrix using reflux procedure and subsequently identified and determined by high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) on reversed phase column of LC-18 (150mm x 4.6mm, 5?m )with actonitrile :water ( 50 : 50 ) as mobile phase at flow rate of ( 0.5 mL/min ) and detection at wavelength of 215 nm.The experimental results indicated that the linearity of calibration is in the range of 1.0-30.0 mg L-1amygdaline with the correlation coefficient of 0.9949. UV-Vis technique has been used to study the adsorption of para-nitroaniline (PNA) on Iraqi siliceous rocks powder. Adsorption isotherms were investigated, temperature effect on adsorption was calculated, Results showed that the adsorption was an exothermic process and the thermodynamic functions were calculated. The effect of the pH on adsorption was studied and the ionic strength effect on adsorption was studied, It was found that adsorption increases with the presence of sodium chloride ions. The kinetic study of adsorption before equilibrium showed that the adsorption was pseudo first order according to according (Lagergren equation).
