The full energy peak efficiency (ɛ) relation of HpGe detector is determined and compared with the "spectrum shape" relation of natural background (BG) for the (121.8-1408) keV energy range. A one liter Marinelli beaker soil standard containing the Eu-152 material is used in calibration and measurement. A MATLAB fitting program were used obtain the efficiency relation from the experimental values, and to obtain the BG "spectrum shape" relation from the count rates at the corresponding energy values used. The ɛ / BG factor values were 1.154 at the 121.8keV and increase with energy till reaching a maximum value of 4.358 at about 778keV energy and then decrease. Length of plasma generated by dc gas discharge under different vacuum pressures was studied experimentally. The cylindrical discharge tube of length 2m was evacuated under vacuum pressure range (0.1-0.5) mbar at constant external working dc voltage 1500V. It was found that the plasma length (L) increased exponentially with increasing of background vacuum air pressure. Empirical equation has been obtained between plasma length and gas pressure by using Logistic model of curve fitting. As vacuum pressure increases the plasma length increases due to collisions, ionizations, and diffusions of electrons and ions.

The study explores the use of ergative verbs in constructing clauses and their impact on the backgrounding of the agent's role in two selected short stories. Contrary to hypothesis No. 1, the research indicates that changes in sentence patterns don't affect the meaning of the process.
