Background: Orofacial cleft is the most common craniofacial birth defect and the fourth most common congenital malformation in humans that have an effect on oral health in addition to nutrient intake affected in those children. This research aims to investigate gingival condition, dental caries experience and nutritional status among children with orofacial cleft and compare them with normal children. This study aims at exploring primary school pupils' understanding of
the meaning of lexical items and language structures. The study sample
consists of 40 second year primary school pupils. The results reveal that
the percentage of the pupils'. Understanding of the meaning of lexical items
is 72.7% that of language structures "verbal and nominal clauses" is 82.3%
and that of language structures "negative, interrogative, vocative, reference
and prepositions" is 86.5%. The study also reveals that there is no
statistically significant difference between the achievement of male pupils
and that of females.

An experimental investigation based on thirty three simple pullout cylinder specimens was conducted to study the bond-slip trend between concrete and steel reinforcement. Plain and deformed steel reinforcement bars were used in this investigation. The effect of bar diameter, concrete compressive strength and development length on bond-slip relation was detected. The results showed that the bond strength increases with increasing of compressive strength and with decreasing of bar diameter and development length. A nonlinear regression analysis for the experimental results yields in a mathematical correlation to predict the bond strength as a function of concrete compressive strength, reinforcing bar diameter and its yield stress.
