This research tackles the play of Synge "Rider to the Sea" to find out whether the
theories of Leech (1983) and Brown and Levinson (1987) can be applied or not to this study.
The model of Leech (1983) consists of seven principles and for Brown and Levinson
(1987),it consists of two principles of politeness where one of them is positive and the other is
negative politeness.
It is hypothesed that:
1. There is a relation between the two theories.
2. Synge deals with these theories in such a way to depict his characters.
3. It is also hypothesed that every character deals with these principles in such a way to show
the events of the play.
The study concludes that there is a relation between the two theories in depicting the
characters then it shows the misery of life in the island throughout the language of the
characters.
In this paper the effect of engagement length, number of teeth, amount of applied load, wave propagation time, number of cycles, and initial crack length on the principal stress distribution, velocity of crack propagation, and cyclic crack growth rate in a spline coupling subjected to cyclic torsional impact have been investigated analytically and experimentally. It was found that the stresses induced due to cyclic impact loading are higher than the stresses induced due to impact loading with high percentage depends on the number of cycles and total loading time. The present study aimed to investigate the acetamiprid effects on biochemical aspects in albino mice. Thirty albino mice at the age of 6-8 weeks and average weight 25±5 g were divided into three groups each having ten (10) healthy mice. The first group was orally administrated with distilled water while the second and third groups were orally administrated with 50 mg/mL and 100 mg/mL respectively of acetamprid (0.1 mL) daily for one week. A field study was conducted in Al-Khalis district, Diyala Governorate in 2019 to test the sensitivity of three varieties of pepper to the population density of the whitefly B. tabaci, Anaheim pepper, Aleppo and local variety, and the results showed that the Anaheim variety was the most infested with the whitefly density 4.08 whitefly/ leaf and then the local variety 2.7 whitefly/ leaf.
