Background: To evaluate the effect of antierosive agents (10% Nano-Hydroxyapatite (NHA), 10% Casein Phophopeptide-Amorphous Calcium Phosphate (CPP-ACP), and combination of 10% NHA and 10% CPP-ACP) on loss of minerals from enamel surface of permanent teeth treated with antierosive agents when exposed to an acidic beverage and investigate the morphological changes of treated enamel surface after demineralization with cola based beverage under Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM). Materials and Methods: Sixty maxillary first premolars were randomly divided into four groups, 15 teeth for each group. Group I treated with 10% NHA, Group II treated with 10% CPP-ACP, Group III treated with 10% NHA and 10% CPP-ACP, and Group IV did not treat with any remineralizing agents. The teeth were immersed in the remineralizing solutions (10% NHA, 10% CPP-ACP, and combination of 10% NHA and 10% CPP-ACP) for 4 minutes twice daily for 28 days and then stored in the artificial saliva. The samples were immersed for 40 minutes in 20 ml Pepsi cola (PH=2.5). Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer (AAS) was used to record the calcium and phosphorus concentrationsin Pepsi cola before and after demineralization with cola based beverage. SEM also usedto examine the morphological changes occurs in enamel surface of each group after demineralization with cola based beverage. Results: Statistically, there is a highly significant increase in calcium concentration in Pepsi cola (mg/dl) after demineralization with cola based beverage. Group I showed the lowest changes in calcium concentration values among the three studied groups. Group II was the next, which also showed lower changes in calcium concentration values, then group III while the highest changes were recorded in group IV. There is a highly significant reduction in phosphorus concentration in Pepsi cola (mg/dl) after demineralization with cola based beverage. Group I showed the lowest changes in phosphorus concentration values among the three studied groups. Group II was the next, which also showed lower changes in phosphorus concentration values, then group III while the highest changes were recorded in group IV. Statistically, a highly significant difference was showed in calcium and phosphorus concentrations between the four studied groups after demineralization with cola based beverage. Group IV has a highly significant difference in comparison to group I, group II, and group III. Conclusions: Both the remineralizing agents (NHA and CPP-ACP) were found to be effective in inhibiting the demineralization caused by cola based beverage.The combination of NHA and CPP-ACP had no synergistic effect on remineralization.
Periodontal diseases are inflammatory diseases, for which, scaling and root planning is the main approach. Diode laser therapy as an adjunct to non-surgical periodontal treatment has shown some beneficial effects.
Aim: The objective of this single randomized controlled clinical study was to assess the effect of a 940 nm diode laser as an adjunct to SRP therapy in the treatment of periodontal pockets.
Methods: In this study, twenty patients in need of periodontal treatment with periodontal pocket ≥ 4 mm were selected for this split-mouth clinical study. Test group treated by diode laser 940 nm as an adjunct with SRP, control group treated by SRP in contralateral quadrants. Clinical

The name of my daughter "Noor" has been given to this curve; therefore, Noor term describes this curve whenever it is used in this paper. This curve is a form of these opened curves as it extends in the infinity along both sides from the origin point. The curve is designed by a circle/ ellipse which are drawing curvatures that tangent at the origin point, where its circumference is passed through the (0,2a). By sharing two vertical lined points of both the circle diameter and the major axis of the ellipse, the parametric equation is derived. In this paper, a set of various cases of Noor curve are graphically studied by two curvature cases;

The results indicated that the mechanization work and the amount of added irrigation water increased by 1% whil

Sulfacetamide (SFA) is diazotized, then coupled with vitamin B1 in alkaline media to produce a colored azo dye complex with a stability constant of 5.597 × 105 L/mol. The product is stable, with a maximum absorption wavelength of 489.5 nm, molar absorptivity of 10108 L/mol∙cm, Sandell's sensitivity of 0.0334 μg/cm2, detection limit of 0.0135 μg/mL, and Beer's law being observed over the concentration range of 0.2–20.0 μg/mL. The stability constant and stoichiometry of the produced azo dye were calculated using the continuous variation (Job's) and mole ratio methods. The suggested ap

Background: Polymers are very rarely used in their form. These modifications are carried out in order to improve the properties of polymers.Recently silver have been used successfully as antimicrobial (medical and dental) biomaterials that can prevent caries and infection of implants Purposes: The aim of the present in vitro study is to evaluate the effect of addition of silver nitrate to acrylic resin in different concentrationsthrough several tests part of these are: The effect of this additive on impact strength, transverse strength, and tensile strength of AgNO3 – loaded resin, and to assess any effect of addition of silver nitrate on coloration of acrylic resin. Materials and methods: Different concentrations of silver nitrate

(Coleoptera: Silvanidae) under laboratory conditions with three concentrations of spores and mildew commentator (1 × 103, 1 × 105, 1 × 107) spore / ml , on eggs and larvae second phase of the insect .The study also includs the effect of the fungus concentrations of germination on rice (jasmine) by using direct spray treatment. The results show great fungus efficiency in the control of some aspects of life of the insect, where varied efficiency depends on the concentration of spores, The highest percentage loss of eggs is 63.33% at a concentration

In this research, a new technique is adopted to investigate the performance of replacement and geosynthetic reinforcement materials to improve the gypseous soil behavior through experimential set up manufactured loaclally specially for this work. A series of tests were carried out using steel container (600*600*500) mm. A square footing (100*100) mm was placed at the center of the top surface of the bed soil.
