Background: this study aimed to evaluate the effect of addition of hydroxyapatite micro filler in three concentrations (5%, 10%, 15%) on surface roughness, impact strength, flexural strength and hardness. Material and methods: One hundred sixty acrylic samples were used in this study,40 samples were used for each test(impact strength ,flexural strength ,hardness and surface roughness).The test group divided into four subgroups(n=10) for controlgroup,5%,10% ,15%H,A.concentration addition groups .Impact testing device, flexural strength testing device, shore hardness tester and profilometer device were used to measure the four tests examined in this study. Results: the results showed a significant increase in impact strength, hardness in all concentrations added to heat cured acrylic resin, highly significant decrease in flexural strength, a non-significant difference in surface roughness test in 5% concentration while there was a significant differences in other two concentration in the same test. Conclusion: the 5% concentration hydroxyapatite addition was the concentration of choice to be used to increase the mechanical properties (impact strength) of heat cured acrylic resin without increasing the surface roughness of the material.

In this research a study of some electrical properties Of (Te) thin films with(S) impurities of(1.2%) were deposited at( Ө=700)by thermal evaporation technique .The thicknesses of deposited films were (1050 , 1225 , 1400 , 1575 nm) on a glass substrates of different dimensions . From X-ray diffraction spectrum, the films are polycrystalline .A study of (I-V) characteristic for thin films, the measurements of electrical conductivity (σ)and electrical resistance(R )vs. temperature( T) are done. Ebastine (EBS) is a non-sedating antihistamine with a long duration of action. This drug has predominantly hydrophobic property causing a low solubility and low bioavailability. Surface solid dispersions (SSD) is an effective technique for improving the solubility and dissolution rate of poorly soluble drugs by using hydrophilic water insoluble carriers.
The present study aims to enhance the solubility and dissolution rate of EBS by using surface solid dispersion technique. Avicel® PH101, Avicel® PH 102, croscarmellose sodium(CCS) and sodium starch glycolate(SSG) were used as water insoluble hydrophilic carriers.

The chemical additives used to enhance the properties of drilling mud cause damage to humans and the environment. Therefore, it is necessary to search for alternative additives to add them to the drilling mud. Thus, this study investigates the effects of pomegranate peel and grape seed powders as natural waste when added to un-weighted water-based mud. The antibacterial effect of (Eruca sativa) extract was evaluated by an in vitro study testing the growth of various Gram-Positive and Gram-Negative bacteria . The bactericidal activity of this extract was analyzed by serial dilution in tubes. This study,found that Gram-Negative and Gram-Positive bacteria susceptible to very low eruca concentrations.
