The study area lies in Wasit governorate south west Kut city, where Al Ahdeb oil field is located to the south of Al Ahrar district. The present study deals with assessment of heavy metals pollution in water by collecting eleven water samples (five samples from drainage and six samples from surface water) in 5^th of December 2016. The water samples analysis of heavy elements in the study area shown that water is polluted with high concentration of (Pb, Cd) elements, while the concentration of (Cu, Fe, Zn) in water samples are within the permissible limits of both World Health Organization, and Iraqi standards and there are no hazard effects from these elements.    In the present work, radium (²²⁶Ra), thorium (²³²Th), potassium (⁴⁰ K), and cesium (¹³⁷Cs) (Bq/kg) was measured for 24 soil samples of some districts of Al-Doura city in Baghdad governorate. The gamma spectrometry method with NaI (Tl) detector was used for radiometric measurements. The average values of specific activity for   ²²⁶Ra, ²³²Th, ⁴⁰K and ¹³⁷Cs in soil samples were 38.03, 42.48, 16.34 and 2.76 Bq/kg, respectively. In 2005 Falluga city had an humanitarian crisis situation, characterized by armed conflict. Larg population displaced. To assess the nutritional status of under five children, a check of 678 child in five places of Internal Displaced Peoples . was  achieved   The results indicated that 19.6%, 48.5% of the children had diarrhea and acute respiratory infection.
