Background: There are many congenital anomalies associated with cleft lip and/or palate. This research is to study the prevalence of congenitally missing teeth and supernumerary teeth in this population group. Materials and Method: One hundred eight cleft lip and/or palate Iraqi patients had participated in this study (57 male, 51 female), 3-12 years of age. 26 of them had orthopantomogram were within (6-12) years of age were inspected for congenitally missing teeth and supernumerary teeth. Patients whom age range 3-5 years were checked for the congenitally missing teeth by clinical examination with strongly insisting the teeth were not missed due to caries or trauma. Results: There were 19(73.076%) patients with 41 congenitally missing teeth for the 26 patients within 6-12 years age group who were with orthopantomogram, while there were 20(37.037%) patients with 32 congenitally missing teeth for the 54 patients within 3-5 years of age who were not indicated for orthopantomogram. There were (22) patient with (27) supernumerary teeth. Conclusion: The most frequently congenitally missing tooth was the permanent upper lateral incisor, on the other hand the tooth most frequently noted as extra tooth was the primary lateral incisor. Majority of them were with cleft lip and palate.

Abdominal fat synthesizes a variety of adipokines, including vaspin and chemerin, that affect the resistance to insulin. This research was conducted to demonstrate the effect of pioglitazone, one insulin sensitizer used to decrease insulin resistance, on these adipokines in obese patients with polycystic ovary (PCOS). A simple, precise, and sensitive spectrophotometric method has been established for the analysis of doxycycline. The method includes direct charge transfer complexation of doxycycline withp-Bromanil in acetonitrileto form a colored complex. The intensely colored product formed was quantified based on the absorption band at 377 nm under optimum condition. Beer’s law is obeyed in the concentration range of 1–50 μg.mL-1 with molar absorptivity of 1.5725x104 L.mol-1.cm-1, Sandell's sensitivity index (0.0283) μg.cm-2, detection limit of 0.1064 μg.mL-1, quantification limit 0.3224 μg.mL-1 and association constant of the formed complex (0.75x103). The aim of this work was to estimate the concentrations of natural and artificial nuclides in some fertilized and unfertilized plant samples. These samples were collected and prepared in a petri dish for the measurements using gamma spectroscopy. The average values of 238U, 232Th, 40K, and 137Cs for the unfertilized plant samples were (11.964 ± 3.226, 8.273 ± 2.639, 402.436 ± 18.099, and 2.761 ± 1.613) respectively, and for the fertilized plant samples were (30.434 ± 5.282, 22.584 ± 4.620, 711.332 ± 25.806, and 6.986 ± 2.542) respectively. The current study was conducted on 504(Ros-308) broiler chicks reared in Animal farms belong to College of Agriculture, University of Baghdad during the period 28/9/2017- 9/11/2018 to determine the effect of ginseng additive on the performance of chicks. Results of study showed a significant effect (p≤0.05) of exposure period an Red blood cells, 3.56×106ml3 of blood was in bird, which exposure to 2hr at heat shock.
