Background: In recent years, the immediate loading of dental implants has become more accepted as a standard protocol for the treatment of the edentulous area. Success in implant dentistry depends on several parameters that may improve phenomenon of osseointegration and new bone formation in close contact with the implant. The aim of study was to evaluate the effect of strontium chloride coating of screw shape commercially pure titanium dental implant osseointegration at bone - implant interface by histomorphometric analysis and compare with hydroxyapatite coating at 2 time periods (2 weeks and 6 weeks). Materials and methods: Electrophoretic Deposition Technique (EPD) was used to obtain a uniform coating layer on commercially pure titanium screws. The tibia of 4 white New Zealand rabbits was chosen as implantation sites. Each tibia of rabbit received two screws, one strontium chloride coated and one hydroxyapatite coated and a total 30 histological sections were obtained for each coating material in each period of time. Histomorphometric analysis was performed to measure new bone formed ratio between implant and original bone, after 2 and 6 weeks healing periods. Results: There was increased in new bone formation ratio for the strontium chloride coated implants than hydroxyapatite coated implants and over the two periods of time. There was an increase in the new bone formation ratio at bone-implant interface with time. Conclusion: Coating commercially pure titanium implant with strontium chloride was more efficient in increasing osseointegration at bone implant interface than hydroxyapatite , which was demonstrated by higher new bone formation and maturation at the two periods of time 2 weeks and 6 weeks after implantation. Keywords: Histomorphometric, commercially pure titanium, strontium chloride, hydroxyapatite.
Background: The purposes of this study were to determine the photogrammetric soft tissue facial profile measurements for Iraqi adults sample with class II div.1 and class III malocclusion using standardized photographic techniques and to verify the existence of possible gender differences. Materials & methods: Seventy five Iraqi adult subjects, 50 class II div.1 malocclusion (24 males and 26 females), 25 class III malocclusion (14 males and 11 females), with an age range from 18-25 years. Each individual was subjected to clinical examination and digital standardized right side photographic records were taken in the natural head position. The photographs were analyzed using AutoCAD program 2007 to measure the distances and angles used in t

The microfluidic platforms might offer a more rapid and cost-effective alternative. Fluids are confined in devices that have a significant dimension on the micrometer scale. Due to this extreme confinement, the volumes used for drug assays are tiny (milliliters to femtoliters).
In this research, a microfluidic chip consists of micro-channels carved on substrate materials built by using Acrylic (Polymethyl Methacrylate, PMMA) chip was designed using a Carbon Dioxide (CO2) laser machine. The CO2 parameters have influence on the width, depth, roughness of the chip. In order to have regular

To achieve this goal, a descriptive approach was followed. The research community was identified as all chemistry students across the four grades (first, second, third, and fourth). A sample from each grade was selected for the current research. A tool was prepared to measure mental alertness within the research sample. The researcher adopted the scale by Baer, Smith, Kristemoyer, & Tany (2006), which was developed by Al-Buhairi et al. (2014), ensuring its validity, reliability, and psychometric characteristics, making i

The aneurysmal dome projection may influence the safety access and aneurysmal neck clipping. Here, we discuss additional intraoperative steps that may be required to widen the surgical field to ensure safe surgical clipping of a rupture pure posteriorly directed PCoA aneurysm. Case description: A previously healthy 38-year-old male reported sudden severe headache and disturbed level of consciousness with a Glasgow coma scale (GCS) of 13. His initial computed tomography (CT) scan of the head showed SAH in the basal cistern. 3D-constructed CT angiography (CTA) revealed a

This is mainly when there is a need for good exposure of the aneurysmal neck, sac, PCoA, and anterior choroidal arteries. Ruptured pure posteriorly directed PCoA aneurysm imposes significantly extra challenge as the surgeon undergoes dissection through a tight brain. Even with measures commonly used to attain brain relaxation like the lumbar drain and cisternal fenestration. Here, we describe a technique for posterior temporal pole mobilization (TPM) as an integrated part of microsurgical clipping of ruptured pure posteriorly directed PCoA aneurysms. This technique is implicated in twenty-three successive cases of ruptured PCoA aneurys

Classical laminated plate theory is adopted. The static component of the applied in- plane loading are assumed to vary according to uniform, parabolic or linear distributions. Initially, the plate membrane problem is solved using the Ritz method; subsequently, using Hamilton’s variational principle, linear homogeneous algebraic equations in terms of unknown are generated, the set of linear algebraic equations can be solved as an Eigen-value problem. Such expansion with the absence of bi-lateral agreement between the three riparian countries of Tigris and Euphrates Rivers; Turkey, Syria and Iraq, is expected to lead to a substantially reduction of water inflow to the territories of Iraq. Accordingly, this study consists of two parts: first part is aiming to study the changes of the water inflow to the territory of Iraq, at Turkey and Syria borders, from 1953 to 2009; the results indicated that the annual mean inflow in Tigris River was decreased from 677 m3/sec to 526 m3/sec, after operating Turkey reserv

Generally, telecommunication industry provides two main services such as telephony and internet which involved customer registration, billing and payment. However, the challenge confronting telecommunications industry is to meet the customer satisfaction in the billing system such as accuracy, easy to understand and unambiguous billing issue. In order to develop Customer Billing Telephony System,a user experience study is conducted to gather the user requirements. Hence, the CBTS was developed that takes into consideration user’s value experience that provides a support for managing and monitoring billing proce
