Background: This study was conducted to assess the effect of sonic activation and bulk placement of resin composite in comparison to horizontal incremental placement on the fracture resistance of weakened premolar teeth. Materials and method: Sixty sound human single-rooted maxillary premolars extracted for orthodontic purposes were used in this study. Teeth were divided into six groups of ten teeth each: Group 1 (sound unprepared teeth as a control group), Group 2 (teeth prepared with MOD cavity and left unrestored), Group 3 (restored with SonicFill™ composite), Group 4 (restored with Quixfil™ composite), Group 5 (restored with Tertic EvoCeram® Bulk Fill composite) and Group 6 (restored with Universal Tetric EvoCeram® composite using horizontal incremental layering technique). Standardized class II MOD cavity was prepared in all teeth except (group 1).After finishing the restorative procedure of each group according to the manufacturer's instructions, all teeth were stored in deionized distilled water in an incubator at 37°C for seven days.All specimens were subjected to compressive axial loading until fracturein a universal testingmachine.Specimens were examined by a stereomicroscope at a magnification of (20X) to evaluate the mode of fracture . Results: The results of this study revealed that the control group exhibited the highest fracture resistance compared to all prepared teeth groups (restored or unrestored) and the differences were statistically highly significant (P<0.01), except with group 3 (which was restored with SonicFill™ composite) where the difference was statistically significant only (P < 0.05).Additionally the results of this study revealed that the prepared unrestored teeth (Group 2) exhibited the lowest fracture resistance compared to all restored groups and the differences were statistically highly significant (P<0.01). Meanwhile, among the restored teeth groups, teeth restored with SonicFill™ composite (group 3) exhibited the highest fracture resistance as compared with all other restored groups and the difference was statistically highly significant (P<0.01). On the other hand, no statistically significant differences in fracture resistance were found among groups 4, 5 and 6, which were restored with Quixfil™ composite, Tetric EvoCeram® Bulk Fill composite and Universal Tetric EvoCeram® composite, respectively (P > 0.05). Group 3and Group 5 showed mostly mixed mode of failure, while Group 4 showed mostly adhesive mode of failure. On the other hand Group 6 teeth showed different modes of failure. Conclusions: SonicFill™ composite can be considered as a viable treatment modality for the restoration of weakened maxillary premolar teeth. On the other hand, the time-consuming incremental layering technique can be substituted with bulk filling, using bulk fill materials (Quixfil™ and Tetric EvoCeram® Bulk Fill) for reinforcement ofweakened maxillary premolars.
Background: Medicinal plants that possess antimicrobial and antioxidant properties have garnered significant attention for their role in maintaining food quality, improving safety, and impeding spoilage. They also can aid in controlling food contamination risks and augmenting the nutritional value of foods. Objective: The study aimed to obtain botanical extracts possessing antimicrobial capabilities and use them to inhibit the growth of molds and yeasts. Additionally, these extracts are aimed at prolonging product shelf life by harnessing their antioxidant attributes. Methods: Several microorganisms, including E. coli and Pseudomonas, were subjected to testing. Ethanolic alcohol, chloroform, and essential oil extracts were prepared;

different weight percentages (0, 5, 10, 15, and 20 wt %) from Iron
particles in the range of (30-40μm) as a particle size. The contents
were mixed carefully, and placed a circular dies with a diameter of
2.5 cm. Different mechanical tests (Shore D Hardness, Tensile
strength, and Impact strength ) were carried out for all samples. The
samples were immersed in water for ten weeks, and after two weeks
the samples were take-out and drying to conducting all mechanical
tests were repeated for all samples. The hardness values increased
when the Iron particle concentration increased while the Impact
strength is not affected by the increasing of Iron particles

Show MoreAdvanced strategies for production forecasting, operational optimization, and decision-making enhancement have been employed through reservoir management and machine learning (ML) techniques. A hybrid model is established to predict future gas output in a gas reservoir through historical production data, including reservoir pressure, cumulative gas production, and cumulative water production for 67 months. The procedure starts with data preprocessing and applies seasonal exponential smoothing (SES) to capture seasonality and trends in production data, while an Artificial Neural Network (ANN) captures complicated spatiotemporal connections. The history replication in the models is quantified for accuracy through metric keys such as m

The tensile test and water absorption were investigated according to (ASTM D638) and (ASTM D570), respectively. The influence of sunflower husk and pomegranate husk particles, used as a reinforcement material, on the tensile strength, Young's modulus and water absorption with different weight fraction (3%, 7% and 10%) and particle grain size (50µm, 100 µm and 150 µm), has been investigated. The water absorption of polymer composites was studied by measuring the specimen weight before and after immersion in water for one hundred days. In the experiments of tensile test,

The presence of outliers in the original data set may cause serious problem to the classical bootstrap when the percentage of outliers are higher than the original one. Many methods are proposed to overcome this problem such Dynamic Robust Bootstrap for LTS (DRBLTS) and Weighted Bootstrap with Probability (WBP). This paper try to show the accuracy of parameters estimation by comparison the results of both methods. The bias , MSE and RMSE are considered. The criterion of the accuracy is based on the RMSE value since the method that provide us RMSE value smaller than other is con

Rate of negative appendectomy is 5–40% and delayed intervention result in perforated appendicitis in 5–30% of cases. AIM: The aim of the study was to evaluate NPT as a marker for the diagnosis of AA concerning its severity. And compare the diagnostic value of it with the ALV scoring system. METHODS: One hundred twenty patients presented with signs and symptoms of AA and underwent appendectomy, only 84 patients proved to be AA by histopathological examination, were included in the study. Blood samples for neopterin (NPT) estimation and Alvarado (ALV) score was calculated. Control group consists of 45 healthy individual. RESULTS: NPT levels were s

The researcher chose the Republic of Iraq as an example for the oil countries and the Arab Republic of Egypt as an example for the non-oil countries to hold a comparison on the impact of monetary policies.
The research found that the monetary policies and their tools in the Iraqi economy affect the rate of GDP growth by 73%, which shows the strong impact of monetary policies on the economic growth in the Iraqi economy as an example of an oil state. GDP growth rate of 61%, indicating the impact of monetary policies on economic growth in the
