Background: Osteoporosis is a systemic skeletal disorder affects general health in addition to effect on salivary physical and chemical composition which lead to an adverse effect on oral health status. This study was conducted to evaluate the concentration of glycoprotein (osteonectin) in saliva and its effect on dental caries in relation to salivary flow rate and viscosity among osteoporotic women and compared to control group. Materials and Methods: The total sample composed of 60 females aged 60-65 years attending Al-Yarmook Teaching Hospital, 30 females diagnosed with osteoporosis by measuring bone density at the spine and femur with a dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry at T-score of >2.5, and 30 women without osteoporosis with T-score of ˂-1 (control group).The diagnosis and recording of dental caries was through the application of D1-4MFS index according to criteria of Mühlemman (1976). Stimulated salivary samples were collected under standardized condition, according to Tenovuo and Lagerlöf, (1994). The flow rate and viscosity were estimated and then the saliva was analyzed for estimation of glycoprotein (osteonectin) by using Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Results: The percentage of dental caries occurrence was 100% among osteoporotic group and control group. Results revealed that DMFS value was higher but statistically not significant among osteoporotic women, Concerning DMFS components, the data of the present study showed that the DS was lower but statistically not significant among osteoporotic women, while MS value was significantly higher among them (t=2.044, P<0.05, df =58), on the other hand the opposite figure was found concerning filling component FS however the difference was not significant. Correlation coefficients of caries experience with salivary flow rate revealed a weak negative not significant correlation with D1-4MFS and its component.On the other hand, the data of the present study showed that salivary viscosity correlate weakly not significant in negative direction with DS and its severity and in positive direction with MS, FS, DMFS.. The correlation coefficient between salivary osteonectin and dental caries were weak significant in positive directions concerning Ds and its severity except D3 and FS component as the relation were in negative direction, the positive not significant relation were also found between salivary osteonectin and MS,DMFS. Concerning the relation between salivary osteonectin and physical properties of saliva, the data of the present study revealed a non-significant relation in negative direction with salivary flow rate and in positive direction for salivary viscosity. Conclusions: Dental caries revealed lower percentage of occurrence among osteoporotic group.
Polyvinal alcohol was Cynoethylated , complex compound with Iodin in presence of Cu++ ions were preparated and their ultra violet (U.V) and infra red( IR) spectra were investigated. The prepared derivative and complexes were evaluated as antibacterial and antifungal agents following the standard dilution method. MIC(minimum inhibitory concentration) for each polymer using ten types of gram + ve and gram _ ve bacteria were determinated in addition to three types of fungi. The results obtainded showed that MIC, s were around 0.0011 × 103 molar for different polymetric derivatives tried.
Abstract Drug addiction is considered a criminal behavior, which led the Iraqi legislator to prohibit and criminalize it, imposing penalties on those who use or even approach it. This aims to limit its presence in Iraq and reduce unethical behaviors, leveraging the divine prohibition to curb it. The legislator also encourages media organizations to raise awareness about the dangers of this substance, which has contributed to reducing the phenomenon of drugs in Iraq.
Preparation and Identification of some new Pyrazolopyrin derivatives and their Polymerizations study
In this research two series of the new derivatives of Trimethoprim and paracetamol drugs have been prepared which known as a high medicinal effectiveness. Series (A) is including the interaction of diazonium salt of trimethoprim and coupling with some substituted phenol compounds (2-amino phenol, 3-ethyl phenol, 1-naphthol, 2-nitro phenol, Salbutamol). Series (B) is including the interaction coupling alkali solution of paracetamol with diazonium salt of some substituted aniline compounds (Benzedine, 2, 3-di chloro aniline, Trimethoprim, Anilinium chloride, 2-nitro- 4-chloro aniline).Chemical structures of all synthesized compounds were confirmed by UV-visible and FTIR spectroscopy.
This work is devoted to define new generalized gamma and beta functions involving the recently suggested seven-parameter Mittag-Leffler function, followed by a review of all related special cases. In addition, necessary investigations are affirmed for the new generalized beta function, including, Mellin transform, differential formulas, integral representations, and essential summation relations. Furthermore, crucial statistical application has been realized for the new generalized beta function.

Silver sulfide and the thin films Ag2Se0.8Te0.2 and Ag2Se0.8S0.2 created by the thermal evaporation process on glass with a thickness of 350 nm were examined for their structural and optical properties. These films were made at a temperature of 300 K. According to the X-ray diffraction investigation, the films are polycrystalline and have an initial orthorhombic phase. Using X-ray diffraction research, the crystallization orientations of Ag2Se and Ag2Se0.8Te0.2 & Ag2Se0.8S0.2 (23.304, 49.91) were discovered (XRD). As (Ag2Se and Ag2Se0.8Te0.2 & Ag2Se0.8S0.2) absorption coefficient fell from (470-774) nm, the optical band gap increased (2.15 & 2 & 2.25eV). The purpose of this study was to examine the role of cortisol, and it is related to BMI in the chronic diseases which may increase early cardiovascular disease (CVD) in old Iraqi. The subjects were 116 adults, aged 51-71 years. Body Mass Index (BMI), Waist Circumferences (WC) and Waist Hip Ratio (WHR) were used as a measure of adiposity. Investigation showed highly significant difference between patients in BMI ranges, most of male were in an obese weight range (48.5%), as well in women.
