The effect of various endodontic irrigants on the sealing ability of Biodentine and other root perforation repair materials (In vitro study)

Background: This in vitro study was carried out to evaluate the effect of various endodontic irrigants (sodium hypochlorite, ethylene diaminetetracetic acid and normal saline) on sealing ability of (Biodentine, mineral trioxide aggregate, and amalgam) used to repair furcal perforations. Material and methods: One hundred and twenty extracted human molars with divergent roots were used in this study. A standard root canal access cavity was prepared in each tooth and furcal perforation was made and was standardized by using k file size 100 instrument to get a perforation of (1.32mm) in diameter .The teeth were randomly divided in to three groups of 40 teeth according to the type of material used to repair the perforations (Group A: The furcal perforations were repaired with Biodentine, Group B: The furcal perforations were repaired with MTA ,Group C: The furcal perforations were repaired with Amalgam). Each group was then subdivided into 4 subgroups according to irrigation regimens applied over the repair site (Subgroup 1: without irrigation, Subgroup 2: the pulp chamber was gently irrigated with 10 mL 5.25% Sodium hypochlorite for 10 minutes, Subgroup 3: Pulp chamber was gently irrigated with 10 mL 17% Ethylene Diaminetetracetic acid for 10 minutes, Subgroup 4: pulp chamber was gently irrigated with 10 mL normal saline for 10 minutes. Each tooth was coated with two layers of nail varnish and then sticky wax except 1 to 2 mm around the perforation site. Each tooth was placed in glass vial containing 3 ml of buffered Methylene blue dye at (37°C, pH 7) and kept in an incubator for 72 hour at 100% humidity. After dye application, the teeth were washed in running water for 5 min. Each tooth was sectioned longitudinally in a buccolingual direction. Results: The results showed that group A has least mean of dye penetration and the difference was highly significant with group C and non-significant with group B.Saline and NaOCl increase the sealing of all groups while EDTA significantly increased the dye penetration of Biodentine and MTA respectively. Conclusions: Biodentine has the best sealing ability of the tested materials while amalgam showed the highest dye penetration of all tested materials. Saline and NaOCl increase the sealing ability of Biodentine and MTA where as EDTA decreased the sealing efficacy of MTA and Biodentine.

the current study Included, evaluation the impact of Nitrofurantoin drug on liver in albino mice, 128 male albino mice have been used . Animals treared with (150,200 Mg/Kg) for 8 weeks . NFI caused histological changes in liver represented by , swelling of hepatocytes, disappearance of radial arrangement , vaculation of liver cells , increasing of kupffer cells and appearance of giant cells. NFT caused Congestion of blood vessels and infiltration of inflammatory cells in liver in all used concentrations.

Recovery of pure Hesperidin from Iraqi Sweet Oranges Peel and study the effect in some bacteria

Citrus fruit contain variety of flavonoids such as Hesperidin (the principal flavonoid in oranges and grapefruit). Hesperidin is found in high concentration in fruit peel of oranges and in substantially lower concentration in juice of these fruits. Hesperidin was extracted from oranges peel by treating the peels with calcium hydroxide. HPLC technique was used to determine hesperidin. Hesperidin was saperated and purified in a purity of about 90.1-95.7% and yield about 1.5 %w/w from oranges peel dry powder. Spectrophotometric Determination of Chromium Using Promethazine Hydrochloride - Application in Various Sample

       A rapid, simple and sensitive spectrophotometric method for the determination of trace amounts of chromium (VI) was studied. The method is based on the reaction of chromium (VI) with promethazine forming a red colored species by chromium in hydrochloric acid  medium  and exhibits  a maximum absorbance at 518 nm. A plot of absorbance with chromium (VI) gives a straight line indicating that  Beer’s law has been obeyed over the range concentration of 0.05-4.0 µg/ml with a molar absorptivity of chromium(VI) 2.04 ï‚´ 104       l.mol-1.cm-1 , Sandell’s sensitivity index of 0.0025 µg.cm-2  while the limit of detection (LOD) was found to be 0.0924 µg.ml

Spectrophotometric Determination of Chromium Using Indigo Carmine -Application in Various Samples

A rapid, simple and sensitive spectrophotometric method for the determination of trace amounts of chromium is studied. The method is based on the interaction of chromium with indigo carmine dye in acidic medium and the presence of oxalates as a catalyst for interaction, and after studying the absorption spectrum of the solution resulting observed decrease in the intensity of the absorption. Propagation of Chickpea in vitro

Apical meristems, lateral buds, anthers of immature flowers and immature embryos of chickpea ( Cicer arietinum L.) were cultured on MS media with different growth regulators and incubated for 6 weeks at 25-27?C with 16 hrs photoperiod for callus initiation. Results indicated that 1 and 0.1 mg/l of 2,4-D and BA were suitable for callus initiation when apical meristems and lateral buds were used. While 2 and 0.5 mg/l of both growth regulators were essential for immature embryos. It was noticed that using chickpea anthers of the MS medium must contain 1mg/l 2ip and 0.5 mg/l IAA. However, MS medium supplemented with 1-3 mg/l of BA and 2,4-D respectively was good for callus initiation from lateral buds, anther and immature embryos.

Modeling of the Effect of MgO and ZrO2 on Sintering of Alumina

  This research  studyies the effect of MgO and ZrO2 as additives in sintering Al2O3 . The experimental results are modeled using ( L2 _ regression) technique , sintered density and grain size rate measurments were  accounted by utilizing experimental results of undoped , MgO doped and ZrO2  doped alumina impregrated with spherical large pores in final stage of sintering . The effect of each additive is inhibitian of the grain growth and increasing the densification rate which enhances the kinietics of densification and the removal of large and small pores.
