Background: Gastroesophageal reflux disease, is a quite prevalent gastrointestinal disease, among which gastric content (excluding the air) returns into the oral cavity. Many 0ral manifestations related t0 this disease include tooth wear, dental caries also changes in salivary flow rate and pH. This study was conducted among gastroesophageal reflux disease patients in order to assess tooth wear in relation to salivary flow rate and pH among these patients and the effect of gastroesophageal reflux disease duration on this relation. Materials and methods: One hundred patients participate in this cross-sectional study for both genders and having an age range of 20-40 years old, patients had been endoscopically identified as having gastroesophageal reflux disease using the classification of Los Angeles (LA), who were attending the Gastroenterology and Hepatology Teaching Hospital in Baghdad. and divided into two groups: group A with grade severity mucosal breakage not longer than 5 mm and Group B with grade severity mucosal breakage more than 5 mm long, Smith and Knight (1984) tooth wear index criteria were used for the assessment of tooth wear. For measurement of salivary flow rate and pH, saliva sample (unstimulated) had been collected. Results: Of the entire sample (90%) were having tooth wear. Tooth wear was higher in grade B severity than in grade A severity among patients with gastroesophageal reflux disease duration of two years or less, while it was higher in grade A than in grade B among patients with a duration of more than two years but all these results were statistically non-significant. Salivary flow rate and pH showed a non-significant reduction with increasing gastroesophageal reflux disease severity for both of groups concerning disease duration. The correlation of total tooth wear with salivary flow rate and pH was a significantly weak negative correlation in grade A, while a nonsignificant weak negative correlation in grade B. Conclusions: The findings of the present study concluded that patients with gastroesophageal reflux disease recorded a high occurrence of tooth wear and there was a negative correlation of tooth wear with salivary flow rate and pH among patients with gastroesophageal reflux disease.
There is a mutual relationship between the form of a text and its meaning so as separating these two or devaluating the role of one of them leads to the absence of the value therein. Thus, a translation is important as to how it relates the details of a text. That is, the text has special features which go beyond form, and these set out its distinctiveness. Here, we tackle Saleh al-Jafari's Arabic translation of "Rubbayat al-Khayyam" of Naysapour descriptively and analytically by depending on extracts from the original text. This translation is evaluated on the basis of Spanish critic Maria Carmen Valero Garces. Herein, we discuss the effectiveness of this theory in the criticism of literary texts. It has been concluded that al-Jaf

The adoption of this phenomenon is studied in terms of the role of the internal environment of the organization in addressing this behavior, being the variables belong to the field of organizational behavior to see the results of those variables on the Iraqi organizations, since the specificities of it differ from the rest of the Arab and foreign environments. Therefore, this study focused on testing the relationship of the internal environment of the organization and its role in addressing the negative behavior of the workers.

A progressive increase in the desire for environmentally friendly lubricants by users and strict government regulations for the use of these lubricants has provided an opportunity to use plant oils as biodegradable lubricants, therefore vegetable oils have been investigated to replace oil lubricants because of their maintaining the conditions of nature (environment) properties. In this paper, the influences of the blending ratio of mustard seeds oil with commercial mineral oil (SAE40) on the tribological characteristics were investigated and compared with mineral oil using the four-ball tribotester. Mustard seeds oil was blended with mineral oil at a volumetric ratio ranging from 22.5 to 90%. All experimental works were

The numerical work is based on non-isothermal, incompressible, three dimensional, k turbulence model, and solved using a computational fluid dynamic (CFD) approach, involving finite volume technique to solve continuity, momentum and energy equations, that governs the room’s turbulent flow domain. The experimental study was performed using (1/5) scaled room model of the actual dimensions of the room to simulate room air flow and visualize the flow pattern using smoke generated from burnt herbs and collected in a smoke generator to delivered through
