Complete Blood Count and saliva parameters as an indicator for infected patients with coronavirus covid-19
...Show More Authors

Background: Coronavirus, which causes respiratory illness, has been a public health issue in recent decades. Because the clinical symptoms of infection are not always specific, it is difficult to expose all suspects to qualitative testing in order to confirm or rule out infection as a test. Methods: According to the scientific studies and investigations, seventy-three results of scientific articles and research  were obtained using PubMed, Medline, Research gate and Google Scholar. The research keywords used were COVID-19, coronavirus, blood parameters, and saliva. Results: This review provides a report on the changes in the blood and saliva tests of those who are infected with the COVID-19.COVID-19 is a systemic infection that has a substantial influence on the hematological system and hemostasis, thus deviations from normal levels of laboratory tests, including the blood and saliva test show that specific testing for detecting COVID-19 infection is required. Conclusions: The blood and saliva tests aid in the clinical monitoring of the patient's health.  It has advantages such as the following: it has non-invasive properties, low cost, and good stability, addition to minimum risk of infection transport.

The Effect of Variance Discharge on the Dissolved Salts Concentration in the Euphrates River upper reach, Iraq
...Show More Authors

The Euphrates River Basin in Iraq suffers from climate changes represented by the scarcity of precipitation and the increase in temperatures, which is directly reflected in the discharge rates and the increase in total dissolved solids, and consequently, the increase in the dissolved loads in the river. Four measurement stations (Haditha, Ramadi, Fallujah, and Al-Hindiya) in the upper reach of the Euphrates River were investigated. Available data were analyzed from 1970 to 2020 related to precipitation (mm) and temperatures (°C). The results showed a clear decrease in precipitation rates over the years, while a clear increase in air temperature rates was observed. The discharge rates decreased temporally and spatially downs

Implementable Self-Learning PID Controller Using Least Mean Square Adaptive Algorithm
...Show More Authors

More than 95% of the industrial controllers in use today are PID or modified PID controllers. However, the PID is manually tuning to be responsive so that the Process Variable is rapidly and steady moved to track the set point with minimize overshoot and stable output. The paper presents generic teal-time PID controller architecture. The developed architecture is based on the adaption of each of the three controller parameters (PID) to be self- learning using individual least mean square algorithm (LMS). The adaptive PID is verified and compared with the classical PID. The rapid realization of the adaptive PID architecture allows the readily fabrication into a hardware version either ASIC or reconfigurable.

The Effect of Climate Changes on The Fluctuation of The Water Level of Al- Razzaza Lake, Iraq
...Show More Authors

One of the serious environmental challenges that Iraq faces is climate changes and impacts of changing weather patterns and extreme global weather events. This paper addresses changes in the temporal and spatial characteristics of water levels of Razzaza Lake and response to climatic changes using archived series of Multispectral satellite images Landsat. TM, ETM+ and OLI images acquired on 1990, 2000 and of 2016. In order to extract, mapping the water surface area of the Razzaza Lake, Multispectral spectral band rationing the Normalized Difference Water Index (NDWI) technique was adopted, and the climatic elements data for the period (1990-2016) were analyzed which provide significant information of surfac

Spectroscopic Analysis of CdO: Fe Plasma Generated by Nd: YAG Laser
...Show More Authors

In this work, the optical emission spectrum technique was used to analyze the optical emission spectrum of (CdO: Fe) plasma produced by laser Nd: YAG with a wavelength of (532) nm, a period of 10 ns, and a focal length of 10 cm in the energy range of (200-500) mJ. The electron temperature (Te) was determined using the method of line intensities ratio. Using the Saha-Boltzmann equation, the electron density (ne) was determined. Other plasma parameters such as plasma frequency (fp), Debye length (λD) and Debye number (ND) were also measured. The CdO: Fe (at a mixing ratio of X= 0.5.) plasma spectrum was observed for different energies. As a fu

Hematological Study of Infants Amoebiasis in Duhok City
...Show More Authors

Out of 180 children, 60 (33.3%) have Amoebiasis infection as diagnosed by direct wet smear and Saturated Salt Solution (SSS). SSS method is more significant (P=0.001) in diagnosis of the disease. Number of children infected with Amoebiasis infection is higher in infants aged 1-6 months, but without any significant difference to ages 6-12 or 12-18 months. In contrast, infants aged 18-24 months are significantly differant (P=0.01) as the infection rate is 16.6%. Gender also is seen to be reduced in significance (P= 0.001) for females aged 18-24 months. Blood profile of the involved infants has shown a significant variation (P=0. 01) for all blood profile parameters (RBC (P=0.05), WBC (P=0.001), Lymphocytes (P=0.05), Granulated WBC (P=0.05),

Metrical Phonology in Modern English Poetry
...Show More Authors

One of the main aims of Metrical Phonology Theory (MTT) is to provide the stress of poetry on the syllable, the foot, and the phonological word levels. Analyzing poetry embodies one of the most prominent and controversial metrical issues as the subsumed number and types of syllables, feet, and meters are balanced compared to other literary texts. The MTT saw the light during the late seventies (1975) and (1977) by Liberman and Prince, who produced it as part of non-linear phonology. Its roots originated in prosody, which studies poetic meter and versification. The basis of the metrical analysis is the prosodic analysis developed in London by Firth and his students in 1950. This study aims to identify the values of five metri

Performance of Wind Turbines at Three Sites in Iraq
...Show More Authors

Matching between wind site characteristics and wind turbine characteristics for three selected sites in Iraq was carried out. Site-turbine matching for potential wind power application in Iraq has not yet been well reported on. Thus, in this study, five years’ wind speed data for sites located in Baghdad (33.34N, 44.40E), Nasiriyah (31.05N, 46.25E), and Basrah (30.50N, 47.78E) were collected. A full wind energy analysis based on the measured data, Weibull distribution function, and wind turbine characteristics was made. A code developed using MATLAB software was used to analyse the wind energy and wind turbines models. The primary objective was to achieve a standard wind turbine-site matching based on the capacity factor. Another matching

Adsorption of Ciprofloxacin Hydrochloride from Aqueous Solution by Iraqi Porcelinaite Adsorbent
...Show More Authors

Pharmaceuticals are widely distributed in different applications and also released into the environment. Adsorption of Ciprofloxacin HCl (CIPH) on Porcelinaite was studied at ambient conditions. The adsorption isotherms can be well described using the Freundlich and Temkin equations. The pH of the solution influences significantly the adsorption capacity of Porcelinaite, the adsorption of CIPH increased from the initial pH 1.3 and then decreased over the pH rang of 3.8-9. The adsorption is sensitive to the change in ionic Strength, which indicate that electrostatic attraction is a significant mechanism for sorption process. The enthalpy change (ΔH) for the adsorption of CIPH onto Porcelinaite signifies an endothermic adsorption. The ΔG va
