Background: Because of many factors play a role in the developing of late lower arch crowding, therefore the objective of the current study is to do vertical analysis for subjects with late lower dental arch crowding. The conducted study is the first attempt to do vertical analysis for Iraqi subjects with late lower arch crowding to see if there is a vertical discrepancy in such patients. Subjects and methods: Eighty subjects were selected according to certain inclusion criteria from patients attending the Orthodontic Department in the College of Dentistry, Baghdad University, patients ranged between 18-25 years old. The 80 patients were divided into two groups (crowding and normal), 40 patients each (20 males and 20 females). A study cast of lower dental arch was obtained, and then Nance's space analysis made for each cast, Cephalometric radiographs were also taken for each patient involved in the current study and digitization was done to calculate nine vertical linear and twelve angular measurements. Results: Most of linear measurements showed higher mean values in crowding than normal subjects except S-Go, Ar-Go, and PFH/AFH, also subjects with crowding had significantly higher (P<0.05) anterior facial height (ANS-Me) than normal subjects, and that difference occurred only in the lower part of the face, the Jaraback Ratio (PFH/AFH) was also low in crowding subjects, also higher mean values of LADH, UADH and UPDH in crowding group, may be due to compensatory over eruption of teeth as a result a bite opening occurred, indicating that patients with crowding have tendency toward posterior rotation. Regarding the angular measurements, subjects (total males and females) with crowding had larger mean values than normal. There were no interactions between total mean values of normal and crowding subjects for any outcome angular parameter, except four of the twelve angular measurements (SN-MP, Occ-MP, PP-MP, and sum S.A.G angles) showed an interaction, with females in both normal and crowding groups exhibited higher mean values than males. Conclusions: Subjects with late lower arch crowding can have and/or affect on the vertical dimension, and the vertical discrepancy in late lower arch crowding should be considered during diagnosis and treatment plane of orthodontic cases, active treatment, and retention phase, in order to have stable end result in long term prognosis in orthodontics.

Investigation of the adsorption of Chromium (VI) on Fe3O4 is carried out using batch scale experiments according to statistical design using a software program minitab17 (Box-Behnken design). Experiments were carried out as per Box-Behnken design with four input parameters such as pH (2-8), initial concentration (50–150mg/L), adsorbent dosage (0.05–0.3 g) and time of adsorption (10–60min). The better conditions were showed at pH: 2; contact time: 60 min; chromium concentration: 50 mg/L and magnetite dosage: 0.3 g for maximum Chromium (VI) removal of (98.95%) with an error of 1.08%. The three models (Freundlich, Langmuir, and Temkin) were fitted to experimental data, Langmuir isotherm has bette

New function for boundary condition is used to solve the forth degree of differential equations which depends on variety sources of advanced engineering mathematics. The behavior of composite laminated plates, symmetric and anti-symmetric of cross-ply angle, under out-of-plane loads (uniform distributed loads) with two different boundary conditions are investigated to obtain the central deflection for mid-plane by using the Ritz method. In order to treat this problem, we resort to use the robust methods where there are many robust methods Will be touched to some of them.
The robust measurement estimators include the measurement of direct robust estimators for characteristic values by using characteristic vectors without relying on robust estimators for the variance and covariance matrices. Also the analysis of the princ

Show MoreThe paper aims is to solve the problem of choosing the appropriate project from several service projects for the Iraqi Martyrs Foundation or arrange them according to the preference within the targeted criteria. this is done by using Multi-Criteria Decision Method (MCDM), which is the method of Multi-Objective Optimization by Ratios Analysis (MOORA) to measure the composite score of performance that each alternative gets and the maximum benefit accruing to the beneficiary and according to the criteria and weights that are calculated by the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP). The most important findings of the research and relying on expert opinion are to choose the second project as the best alternative and make an arrangement acco

A different approach for forecasting a variety of soil physical parameters is reflected spectroscopy is a low-cost, quick, and repeatable analytical method. The objectives of this paper are to predict heavy metal (Ti, Cr, Sr, Fe, Zn, Cu and Pb) soil contamination in central and southern Iraq using spectroscopy data. An XRF was used to quantify the levels of heavy metals in a total of 53 soil samples from Baghdad and ThiQar, and a spectrogram was used to examine how well spectral data might predict the presence of heavy metals metals. The partial least squares regression PLSR models performed well in pr
It is known that the science of jurisprudence is one of the most important Islamic sciences. Because it is a science that regulates the life of man and society and provides them with happiness in this world and the hereafter, if they follow its provisions with precision and care. The importance of this topic lies in the fact that it represents an urgent social need to show the compatibility of tribal customs with social jurisprudence. The job of the jurists was and still is to clarify the legal rulings according to what the Holy Qur’an has shown, and what has been reported on the authority of the Great Prophet (6) and the pure imams (:).It is no secret to everyone that the Islamic civilization is (the civilization of jurisprudence), just
