Bone density determination for the maxilla and the mandible in different age groups by using computerized tomography (Part I)
...Show More Authors

Background: Mini implant stability is primarily related to local bone density; no studies have evaluated bone density related to mini implant placement for orthodontic anchorage between different age groups in the maxilla and the mandible. The present research aims to evaluate side, gender, age, and regional differences in bone density of the alveolar bone at various orthodontic implant sites. Materials and method: Fifty three individuals who were divided into two groups according to their age into: group I (ages 16-20 years) and group II (ages 21-29 years) had subjected to clinical examination, then 64-multislice computed tomography scan data were evaluated and bone density was measured in Hounsfield unit at 102 points (51 in the maxilla and 51 in the mandible), and mean alveolar bone density was calculated at each site in the CT axial plane. Results: No significant differences in bone density between the sides and gender were found. Generally, the bone density measurements of group I and II were not statistically different at almost most sites. The mean bone density of the alveolar cortical bone was greater in the mandible than in the maxilla and showed a progressive increase from the anterior to the posterior area, while in the maxilla the highest bone density was at the premolars region. The maxillary tuberosity was the region with lowest bone density. Cancellous bone had almost comparable densities between the mandible and the maxilla and its density was less than those of cortical sites. Conclusion: When mini implants are indicated, no gender and side differences affect the success rate regarding bone density; while age and area should be considered when selecting and placing mini implants for orthodontic anchorage.

Study the Characteristic of the Coupling Parameter ( ? ) in Dusty Plasma by Computer modeling
...Show More Authors

Computer modeling has been used to investing the Coulomb coupling parameter ?. The effects of the structure parameter K, grain charge Z, plasma density N, temperature dust grain Td, on the Coulomb coupling parameter had been studied. It was seen that the ? was increasing with increasing Z and N, and decrease with increasing K and T. Also the critical value of ? that the phase transfer of the plasma state from liquid to solid was studied.

The Existential Dilemma as a Philosophical Problem in The Beggar by Naguib Mahfouz
...Show More Authors

The Beggar (1965) is a story of isolation and depression which is written by the Egyptian novelist Naguib Mahfouz who is considered the father of Arabic Literature in the modern era. The problems faced by First-grade intermediate students in studying the Arabic language
...Show More Authors

This study investigates the challenges encountered by first-grade intermediate students in learning the Arabic language. It aims to identify specific obstacles that hinder language acquisition and proficiency among this demographic. Through qualitative and quantitative methods, including surveys and interviews with students, teachers, and parents, the research highlights key issues such as limited vocabulary, difficulties in grammar, lack of engagement with the material, and inadequate teaching resources. The findings reveal a complex interplay between cognitive, social, and educational factors that contribute to these challenges. The study underscores the need for targeted interventions, such as enhanced pedagogical strategies and improved

The Expectation in ( Why did you leave the horse alone ) By Mahmoud Darwish
...Show More Authors

Expectation in poetry is  the ability of the poet to exceed the existence of the universe . It is the revealing of the hidden and the familiar. This feature of expecting is not related to the modern poetry only . It is a well - known feature that has long been assigned to old poetry like Al-Mutannabi  an Al-Mu`arri  who had their own unique ways of expecting and going beyond the current time  and touching the future and making it a reality. Based on their awareness ,mature thinking and talent , they had the ability of reading what is to come ,even if they were mere suppositions and tentative readings. As for the modern poetry , we have poets like Amal Dunqil , Adonis ,and Al-Sayyab whose poems became expectati

The Use of Tautology in 'The Thorn' by William Wordsworth: A Stylistic Study
...Show More Authors

A tautology is to say the same thing twice where part of the sentence is redundant. The words are used and then expanded further in a way as if it has never been spoken before. It is the repetition or duplication of words; however; it has been argued that every repetition is not a tautology. Poets use this part of speech in their work for many years. Owing to its principal use in poems, it deserves an investigatory research work. This study aims at analyzing ‘tautologies’ in William Wordsworth’s poem “The Thorn” from the viewpoint of stylistic analysis. This analysis can show the significance of the use of tautological words to conclude whether tautologies produce redundancy or make a poem beautiful. Leech (1969) is the model adop
