Image quality has been estimated and predicted using the signal to noise ratio (SNR). Three groups of 59 patients (24 males and 35 females) were divided according to BMI. Background and objectives: Whether to use a cold scalpel or laser surgery to remove a lesion in the skin of the craniofacial area is the main question the surgeon asks him- or herself to do. The study tried to extend the literature with data that may help the surgeons to choose the right method.
