Rupture of the trachea or main bronchus can occurs during severe chest trauma and this event has been reported since more than a century. This is a report of a 19 year old male patient sustained car accident leading to loss of consciousness due to multiple trauma ,involving specially the head and the chest that he needs assisted ventilation in an intensive care unit and later a tracheostomy .The patient regain his consciousness gradually , and a late diagnosis of traumatic rupture of the left main bronchus , which was approved by bonchoscopy and CT chest .Surgical repair of the ruptured left main bronchus was accomplished sixty days from the admission with the lung fully expanded on a post operative chest X-ray . The patient referred later to the ENT Department , thereafter a successful weaning from the tracheostomy was performed .The patient discharged well , but he was in need for regular bronchoscopic dilatation for a tracheal stricture as a complication of tracheostomy .The patient is still well during the follow up period . The report will includes a review of the literatures about this relatively uncommon post traumatic condition.
The prevalence of gastrointestinal symptoms of COVID-19 is variable with different types of presentations. Some of them many present with manifestations mimicking surgical emergencies. Yet, the pathophysiology of acute abdomen in the context of COVID-19 remains unclear. We present a case of a previously healthy child who presented with acute appendicitis with multisystemic inflammatory syndrome. We also highlight the necessity of considering the gastrointestinal symptoms of COVID-19 infection in pediatric patients in order to avoid misdiagnosis and further complications. |

Ameloblastic carcinoma is a rare malignant odontogenic tumor that is further classified into being primary or secondary arising from a preexisting benign ameloblastoma. It affects the mandible in two thirds of the patients. there is no standard treatment protocol for this lesion but radical surgical excision with or without radiotherapy is reported in the majority of cases. In this paper we present a case of a 60 year old female diagnosed with ameloblastic carcinoma of the mandible that was treated by radical resection of the mandible with selective neck dissection and postoperative radiotherapy.
The term Amyand’s hernia refers to an incarcerated inguinal hernia containing the vermiform appendix, which may be completely healthy, inflamed or perforated. (1) In almost 1% of all inguinal hernias Amyand’s hernia is detected and acute appendicitis in Amyand’s hernia cases accounts only for 0.1% “ 0.07-0.13”. (5)Amyand’s hernia is named after Claudius Amyand, who on December, 6,1735 performed the 1st successful appendectomy during the treatment of 11 years old boy presented with right inguinal hernia . During the surgery Amyand found a pin within the appendix which was encrusted with stone the appendix was found within the inguinal hernia sac. (2) It should not be confused with the incidental findings of cecal ap

collision tumor is the presence of two histopathologically distinct tumors in the same anatomical site. It is a rare pathology of the thyroid gland that makes diagnosis and treatment challenging. This is a case report of a collision tumor of the thyroid gland.
Fibro-adenoma is the most common lesion of the breast, it occurs in25%of asymptomatic women (1,2 )
It is usually a disease of early reproductive life, the peak incidence is between the ages15 and 35 years.(3,4) It presents as firm highly mobile, non tender mass .(5)
Less than 5% of fibro-adenomas grow rapidly and display the clinical and histologic characteristics of giant fibro-adenoma which is defined as a-tumour either having a diameter greater than 5 cm. And /or amass weighing more than 500 grams, and are conventionally a benign tumor of breast.(6)
Giant fibro-adenomas appear as well-circumscribed but not encapsulated masses on mammography and solid and the texture is homogenous and hypoechoic with low level echoes on U/S. (
Intramuscular hemangiomas are rare asymptomatic angiomatous tumors , showing a slow growing pattern . We reported a rare case of biceps muscle hemangioma in a 22-years-old man who presented with progressive swelling following a simple trauma four years ago , after examining the patient with ultrasound (US) ,computed tomography( CT) scan and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), which was confirmed by histopathology later on .
Background: Thyroid surgery is most common endocrine surgery in general surgical practice. Objectives: the aim of this work is to evaluate the feasibility, benefits and outcomes of open mini-incision thyroidectomy and compared the results with that of conventional thyroidectomy. The comparison between the two groups was in term of incision length, amount of blood loss, time of operation, postoperative pain, hospital stay and the cosmetic outcomes.Type of the study: this is a single-blinded randomized controlled studyMethods: This study compared the advantages and outcomes of 22 patients subjected to mini-incision thyroidectomy (Group A) with the equal numbers of patients subjected to conventional thyroidectomy (Group B).Results: the oper
