Case Report and Review of Articles: Rheumatoid Vasculitis

We describe here a case of a 70 yr old man with long-standing rheumatoid arthritis who presented with low grade fever, fatigue, loss of appetite and weight, bluish discoloration of the fingers and patches of gangrenous skin on the fingers. There was intense pain in the fingers which prevented him from sleep. Along with these symptoms he developed loss of sensation in the dorsum of left foot, then left foot drop. We give below full account of the case and review of the causes of vasculitis. We want to emphasize on the importance of identifying vasculitis as one of the complications of rheumatoid arthritis and intensive treatment of this complication, as it is a life-threatening complication.

Chronic ulcerative Cutaneous Vasculitis of the legs Clinical and histopathological study

Background: Cutaneous small vessel vasculitis characterized by necrosis and inflammation of upper dermal blood vessels. It presents with ulcers and systemic manifestations after extensive acute onset. Many patients have a form of cutaneous vasculitis that presents with chronic painful ulcerations & purpuras involving the ankles without systemic manifestations, with some similarity in clinical presentation to livedoid vasculopathy.

Cephalosporins are the not the cause of death in a pregnant with urinary tract infection; A case Report: Cephalosporins and treatment of urinary tract infection during pregnancy

Background: Urinary tract infection is a highly prevalent disease all over the world and affects females more than males. In the former, it may complicate pregnancy to potentially lethal septicaemia. Bilateral Giant Fibro Adenoma of Breast (Case Report)

Fibro-adenoma is the most common lesion of the breast, it occurs in25%of asymptomatic women (1,2 )
It is usually a disease of early reproductive life, the peak incidence is between the ages15 and 35 years.(3,4) It presents as firm highly mobile, non tender mass .(5)
Less than 5% of fibro-adenomas grow rapidly and display the clinical and histologic characteristics of giant fibro-adenoma which is defined as a-tumour either having a diameter greater than 5 cm. And /or amass weighing more than 500 grams, and are conventionally a benign tumor of breast.(6)

Hepatitis G virus infection among Iraqi patients on maintenance hemodialysis

Paediatric multiple sclerosis: a case report of missed and dismissed diagnosis

Multiple Sclerosis (MS) is a chronic inflammatory autoimmune disease of the central nervous system (CNS). Up to 10 % of MS patients have onset in paediatric age group. Factor V Leiden and venous thrombosis: First case report from Iraq

Glycemic control in children and adolescents with type 1 diabetes mellitus in post conflict Iraq: a primary report

Background: Type 1 diabetes mellitus (T1DM) is a common disease in childhood. A linear relation between glycemic control (HbA1c < 7) and onset or progression of complication was detected. Only few individuals achieve glycemic control.
Objective: To estimate the glycemic control among diabetic children attending tertiary center.
