Fourteen Proteus isolates (11.6%) were collected from 120 specimens collected from midstream urine of patients of both sex and different ages attending different hospitals in Baghdad. Many types of therapies are available including systemic antibiotics , choosing the appropriate one depend on the experience of the doctor , side effects , antimicrobial resistance , availability and cost. Although doxycycline is effective and commonly prescribed as first line systemic treatment for moderate to severe inflammatory acne vulgaris , some cases do not respond because of antimicrobial resistance.

Blood samples were cultured directly on brain heart infusion broth. After that sub cultured of isolates on MacConkey agar and XLD agar and S.S agar to find the Salmonella typhi then identified by the biochemical and antibiotic sensitivity test.
