Background: cerebral damage may occur in a variety of clinical settings and this remains a significant problem. Therefore, it seems possible that the administration aqueous extract of Gingko biloba might protect the brain against the ischemia reperfusion injury.
Objectives: The study included knowledge Phytochemical Composition and determine whether Gingko biloba in the aqueous extract prevents or decreases I/R brain damage.
Methods: Thirty rats were divided into three groups as control, I/R group and Gingko biloba treatment group. Serum was used for the estimation of biochemical parameters: oxidative stress levels of nitric oxide (NO) and lipid peroxidation (LPO) and blood was used for the estimation of enzyme immunoassay: Interleukin-8 (IL-8), tumor necrosis factor Alpha (TNF-α), interleukin-1β (IL-1β).
Results: The results showed that the extract contain : glycosides , saponins ,tannins ,phenolic compounds , resins, flavonoids ,alkaloids and proteins. The levels of Oxidative stress in group 3 were significantly lower than those in group 2 as well as the levels of enzyme immunoassay in group 3 were significantly lower than those in group 2.
Conclusion: The present results suggest that Gingko biloba treatment protects the rat brain against ischemiareperfusion brain damage.
Background: myocardial ischemia-reperfusion (I/R) injury may occur in a variety of clinical settings and this remains a significant problem. Oxygen free radicals, produced on reperfusion have been shown to play a major role in myocardial I/R injury. Various therapeutic effects have been described for Crataegus. Additionally, it has been presented that Crataegus has protective effect against ischemia reperfusion induced myocardial injuries to various organs. Therefore, it seems possible that the administration of Crataegus might protect the heart against the ischemia reperfusion injury.
Objectives: I detected the chemical components and trace elements of the aqueous extract of Crataegus leaves and determine whether Crataegus extract pr
Background: Hepatic ischemia-reperfusion (I/R) injury may occur in a variety of clinical settings and this remains a significant problem. Oxygen free radicals, produced on reperfusion have been shown to play a major role in hepatic I/R injury. Various therapeutic effects have been described for Zingiber officinale. Additionally, it has been presented that Zingiber officinale has protective effect against ischemia reperfusion injury to various organs. Therefore, it seems possible that the administration of Zingiber officinale might protect the liver against the ischemia reperfusion injury.
Objectives : To determine whether Zingiber officinale prevents hepatic ischemia-reperfusion injury to the liver.

Compensation for psychological damage resulting from negligence has raised problems in cases where the psychological injury is "pure", that is, those that are not accompanied by a physical injury, which required subjecting them to

The results of diagnosis clarified that there are 45 bacterial isolates belonging to the bacterium P. aeruginosa The examination of the sensitivity of all bacterial isolates was done for elected 45 isolation towards the 11 antibiotic by spread method on the dishes. The results showed that the resistance ratio toward Cefixim, Cefotaxim, Tetracycline, Amoxicillin, Cloxacillin, Methicillin, Erythromycin and Naldixic acid was 77.7, 73.3, 84.4, 82.2, 80, 77.7, 77.7 and 73.3 respectively, While most isolates were sensitive to all o

Thirty rats were distributed into five groups: The first group served as negative control group that received distilled water (DW) only without inducting inflammation, positive control group; treated with DW with the induction of inflammation and they were assigned to cotton pellet-induced granuloma, ginkgo biloba (GKB) treated group (200mg/kg/day), dexamethasone-treated group (1mg/kg), and Prednisolone treated group (5mg/kg). All the treatments were given orally for seven consecutive days. On day eight, the rats were anesthetized and the pellets together with granulation tissue were carefully removed

The present study was designed to evaluate the hepatoprotective effect of aqueous extract of Camellia sinensis (Green tea) against MTX-induced liver damage in rats. A model of liver injury in rats was induced by intraperitoneal injection of 20mg/kg MTX as a single dose followed by saline and 1.25% and 2.5% aqueous extract of green tea (GTE) were orally administered 7 days prior and 5 days after MTX-intoxication as a sole source of drinking water. After killing the animals, blood samples were obtained for evaluation of serum levels of alanine and
