Diagnostic value of left ventricle strain pattern of hypertensive patients in coronary and cerebrovascular diseases

Association of Electrocardiographic Left Ventricular Strain Pattern with Coronary Artery Disease and Cerebrovascular Accident in Hypertensive Patients

Background: Patients diagnosed with hypertension and left ventricular hypertrophy could presented with electrocardiographic changes including criteria of left ventricular hypertrophy, and left ventricular strain pattern( fixed ST depression and T inversion in leads I, avL, V5&6)

Objective: To study the impact of electrocardiographic left ventricular strain pattern in hypertensive patient as predictor for coronary artery disease and cerebrovascular accident development.

Material and method: a cross sectional hospital based study was conducted during 2012-2017 at Iraqi center for heart diseases including hypertensive patients with normal ECG or LV strain pattern criteria, all patients underwent echocardiography and coronary angiography and the data were collected from patients’ files.

Results: The records of 401 hypertensive patients [262(65.3%) males/139(34.7%) females] were included in this study. Their mean age was 60.07 ± 10.8 year.

The relation between electrocardiographic left ventricular strain pattern and Coronary Angiography among patients was significant (P <0.001).

There was a significant difference between electrocardiographic left ventricular strain pattern and cerebrovascular accident among studied group (P<0.001).

Conclusions: electrocardiographic left ventricular strain in hypertensive patients is highly associated with coronary artery disease and cerebrovascular accident.

A Scoping Review of Machine Learning Techniques and Their Utilisation in Predicting Heart Diseases

Heart diseases are diverse, common, and dangerous diseases that affect the heart's function. They appear as a result of genetic factors or unhealthy practices. Furthermore, they are the leading cause of mortalities in the world. Cardiovascular diseases seriously concern the health and activity of the heart by narrowing the arteries and reducing the amount of blood received by the heart, which leads to high blood pressure and high cholesterol. In addition, healthcare workers and physicians need intelligent technologies that help them analyze and predict based on patients’ data for early detection of heart diseases to find the appropriate treatment for them because these diseases appear on the patient without pain or noticeable symptoms,

Prescribing pattern of antibiotics in AL-Elwia Pediatric Teaching Hospital, Baghdad, 2016.

Background: Antibiotics are among the most commonly used medicine, in both community and hospital setting, all over the world especially in countries where no strict guideline to regulate their use. In Iraq, only a few studies conducted to describe the antibiotic prescription pattern in general hospitalsand even less in pediatric hospital.

Objective: To describe the patterns for antibiotics used in Elwia pediatric teaching hospital in Baghdad, Iraq

Type of the study: Descriptive cross sectional study.

.Methodology: The study was conducted at AL-Elwia Pediatric Teaching Hospitalduring the year 2016. A random sample from all the prescriptions sheets

Educational value Implied in Secondary School Principals' weekly Speeches at Baghdad

The research falls in to three sections: the first section has two parts; the first one includes a general description of the research: its   problem, aim, limitations, methodology, and the terminological definition. The second part presents historical background of the weekly school speeches in Iraq and their types. Section Two has two parts: the first is about the principles of writing weekly speeches, their elements, and principals, their conditions. As for the second part, it is about introducing four samples of weekly school speeches distributed as two taken from Al-karkh sector and two taken from Al-rusafa'a sector. The third section: analyzing the content of the sample and giving a short historical background abo

Spectroscopic Diagnostic of Cadmium Sulfide Plasma Produced By LIBS

Abstract

The current study was carried out to reveal the plasma parameters such as ,the electron temperature ( ), electron density (ne) , plasma frequency (fp), Debye length ( ) , Debye number (   for  CdS to employ the LIBS for the purpose of analyzing and determining spectral emission lines using . The results of electron temperature for CdS range (0.746-0.856) eV , the electron density(3.909-4.691)×1018 cm-3. Finally ,we discuss plasma parameters of CdS  through  nano second  laser generated plasma .

Plasma diagnostic of gliding arc discharge at atmospheric pressure

A gliding arc discharge (GAD) with a water spray system was constructed. A non-thermal plasma, generated between two V shaped electrodes in an ambient argon driven by 100 Hz AC voltage, was investigated using optical emission spectroscopy (OES) with different gas flow rates (0.5, 1, 1.5, 2 , 2.5 , 3  1/min). Boltzmann plot method was used to calculate electron temperature (Te) and electron density (ne). The electrodes design was spectrally recognized and its Te value was about 0.588-0.863 eV, while the ne value of 6.875×1017-10.938×1017 cm-3. The results of the plasma diagnostics generated by gliding arc showed that increasing gas f

Fine needle aspiration cytology of breast lesions: Diagnostic values

Back ground:Fine needle aspiration (FNA) is indicated in the exploration of superficial and deep masses. The accuracy of this procedure differs in various studies, and according to the organ explored. Palpable mammary masses of concern to the patient or clinician should be aspirated, regardless of imaging findings.
Objective: The present study aimed at evaluation of cytological results of FNA of different palpable breast lesions, using histopathological diagnosis as the gold standard for final diagnosis.
Patients & Methods: This prospective study includes 289 females with palpable breast lesions. FNA aspiration was conducted in a private out patient clinic during the period of 1994-2004. The cytolo
