Background: This research focuses on the characterization studies of 5v-Nucleotidase (5'-NT) of kalaazar patients' sera. 5V NT is one of the enzymes used as indicator of liver function test . In this study the optimum conditions for the activity of 5s - NT enzyme has been demonstrated for kalaazaric patients.
Materials and methods: Thirty five blood samples were obtained from Baghdad Hospitals from untreated infants and children with kala-azar. 5'-NT activity was measured by following the
method of Wood and Williams.
Results: Optimum conditions of serum 5' - NT activity of kala- azaric patients obtained were 50 u L , 30 minutes ,0.8 mM,7.7 and 50'C) as (Volume of serum , incubation time , substrate
concentration, pH and temperature) respectively
This study aims to use claystone beds exposed in the Injana Formation (Late Miocene) at Karbala-Najaf plateau, middle of Iraq for the manufacturing of perforated and ordinary bricks. The claystone samples were assessed as an alternative material of the recent sediments, which are preferred to remain as agricultural land. The claystones are sandy mud composing of 29.1 - 39.1% clay, 37.2 - 54.8% silt and 14.1-26.8% sand. They consist of kaolinite, illite, chlorite, palygorskite, and montmorillonite with a lot of quartz, calcite, dolomite, gypsum and feldspar. Claystone samples were characterized by linear shrinkage 0.01 - 0.1%, volume shrinkage 0.1 - 0.9%, bulk density 1.2 - 2.11gm/cm3 (1.68 g / cm3 average), and the efflorescence is

Two Sabkhas in Abu Ghraib, west of Baghdad, were studied. It was found that the Sabkhas were formed in flat ponds from saturated solutions in a semi-arid to arid climate. Halite predominates, followed by anhydrite and gypsum as evaporite minerals. As for the minerals of the Sabkha soil, it consisted of feldspar, calcite, quartz, and dolomite, in addition to the clay minerals represented by kaolinite, illite, and chlorite. Needle forms, hopper shapes, dendritic crystals, and polygon shapes are the main crystallization patterns dominantly found in the Sabkhas. All these types of crysta

The Studie was conducted on a of 120 Iraqi native chickens, consisting of 100 hens and 20 roosters. The chickens were 26 weeks old at the time of the study. The chickens were divided into four treatment groups, with each group consisting of 25 chicks. The experimental design consisted of four groups: the first group served as the non-injection control (referred to as T1), while the remaining groups (T2, T3, and T4) were treated with injections of glycitein at concentrations of 5, 10, and 15 mg/kg body weight, respectively. These injections were given subcutaneously in the
Back ground: A urinary tract infection is one of the most common diseases occurring from neonate up to geriatric age groups
Patients and Methods: A total of (100) Midstream urine (MSU) samples were collected from patients having signs and symptoms of Lower urinary tract infection. These patients were attending Urology Clinic, Ramadi General Hospital.
Result: Culturing of (100) MSU samples on MacConky and blood agar resulted in (5) types of bacteria which included: Escherichia coli (46%) and it was found the most frequent bacteria causing LUTI. This is followed by Klebsiella pneumonia (23%), Pseudomonas aeruginosa (13%), Proteus mirabilis (10%) and Staphylococcus epidermidis (8%).

Although the axial aptitude and pile load transfer under static loading have been extensively documented, the dynamic axial reaction, on the other hand, requires further investigation. During a seismic event, the pile load applied may increase, while the soil load carrying capacity may decrease due to the shaking, resulting in additional settlement. The researchers concentrated their efforts on determining the cause of extensive damage to the piles after the seismic event. Such failures were linked to discontinuities in the subsoil due to abrupt differences in soil stiffness, and so actions were called kinematic impact of the earthquake on piles depending on the outcomes of laboratory
The study aims to identify the uses and the impact of social networking applications and websites on stock markets and their role in defining the details of dealing with stock movement and trading. The study also aims to highlight the role of these networks by increasing confidence in stock markets and companies as well as encouraging and inciting young people to invest in these markets, the study belongs to the descriptive analytical approach, the study population consisted of all current and potential investors in the stock and financial markets in the United Arab Emirates. The study used a questionnaire that was distributed to a number of followers of social networking pages and websites that deal with trading

To achieve that,49 samples of stool were collected, 29 from children with acute amebiasis and 20 from healthy children, children's ages ranging from 1 month to 12 years from both genders. Counting three types of bacteria Lactobacillus spp., Bifidobacterium spp. and Escherichia coli, using the standard curve obtained from Real-Time PCR was accomplished. The standard curve was made from decimal serial dilution of samples containing an unknown number of bacteria. The results showed that E. histolytica infection creates co

This research aimed to study the effect of aeration in the bubble column bioreactor on the biological synergy between microalgae and bacteria if they are present in the same place. The results show that the sterilization stage is not the dominant step in the success of microalgae cultivation in water-rich organic waste. There is a clear convergence between the growth rate of Chlorella microalgae in the sterilized and non-sterilized culture media, which gives realism if the proposal is applied industrially. Through the information obtained the aerobic bacteria in the non-sterilized me
