Evaluation of T- Helper (Th-1) Cytokines during the Treatment Responses of chronic Hepatitis C Virus

Background:It is widely assumed that cellular immune response and cytokine (especially proinflammatory cytokines) production play an important role in the course and treatment effectiveness of chronic hepatitis C infection.
Aim of the study: evaluate the level of Th-1 cytokines during treatment of chronic HCV infection and their dynamic changes in response to treatment.
Patients and methods: The study was performed on sixty patients with chronic HCV infection, the patients were recruited from medical city gastroenterology and hepatology teaching hospital for the period from February 2007 till February 2008 and 50 healthy control group. Diagnosis was made using third generation ELISA-based screening test, RIBA-based test and PCR-based test. On the other hand, Cytokines (serum level) were determined by ELISA method before, during (6, 12, 24 weeks) and after the treatment.
Results: This study showed that after 6 weeks from the initiation of the treatment by pegilated interferon-α in the combination with ribavirin, concentration of serum cytokines IL-1β, TNF- α and INF- γ have significantly changed and at the end of the treatment concentration of all cytokines have decreased and this change was statistically significant for all cytokines. Conclusion: dynamic changes of some cytokines during INF- α and ribavirin treatment may be used as a predictor factor for evaluation of the therapy effectiveness.

Assessment of Dibdibba Groundwater Quality Using the Multivariate Statistical Technique in Zuber area South of Iraq

Thirty-three samples of groundwater were taken from Dibdibba unconfined aquifer in the Zuber area southwestern parts of Basrah governorate south of Iraq to assess the groundwater quality. A statistical multivariate analysis was done using cations and anions, pH, total dissolved solids (TDS), and electrical conductivity (EC) that were measured for drinking, livestock, and construction purposes. Residual sodium bicarbonate (RSBC), Magnesium Ratio (MR), and Permeability index (PI) were used to evaluate the suitability of the present samples for irrigation activity. The quality of groundwater in the study area is unsuitable for drinking water, industrial and building uses. But it is suitable for livestock uses, According to Residual Sodium C

Sources of income subject to tax in the Iraqi Income Tax Law No.113 of 1982

The tax is a financial amount collected from the taxpayer for the account of the public treasury.. and is the cornerstone of the close bond between members of the community and the country in which they live , as income tax is imposed on the profits and revenues achieved by people and often the constitution of most contemporary countries stipulate that the legislator is obligated to determine the sources of revenues and profits subjected to tax. Because the tax has a serious impact on people’s money because it is exposed to that money through direct deduction . Therefore, we note that the applicable income Tax Law stipulated that in order income to be subject to tax , it must be derived from one or more of the income sources st

Antifungal Activity of Solanum nigrum Extract Against Microsporum canis, The Causative Agent of Ring Worm Disease

The present study was performed to evaluate the anti-fungal effect of alcoholic extract of Solanum nigrum (AESn) on the growth of Microsporum canis, the causes agent of ring worm. The results of this work referred to the inhibitory effect of the studied extract on the growth of tested fungi. The percentages of inhibition were (7.88 %, 19.88%, 23.41%, 57.65%), in comparison to the control, when (2%, 4%, 6%,8% ) of tested extract were used, respectively. The data illustrated that the higher concentrations of the extract are applied, the more inhibition of fungal growth is produced.

A Study of the Structural and Optical Properties of SnS:F prepared by chemical spray pyrolysis technique

Thin films of pure tin mono-sulfide SnS and tin mono-sulfide for (1,2,3,4)% fluorine SnS:F with Thicknesses of (0.85 ±0.05) ?m and (0.45±0.05) ?m respectively were prepared by chemical spray pyrolysis technique. the effect of doping of F on structural and optical properties has been studied. X-Ray diffraction analysis showed that the prepared films were polycrystalline with orthorhombic structure. It was found that doping increased the intensity of diffraction peaks. Optical properties of all samples were studied by recording the absorption and transmission spectrum in range of wave lengths (300-900) nm. The optical energy gap for direct forbidden transi

Rules of Human Conduct in War in the Light of Islamic Jurisprudence and International Humanitarian Law

The importance of the research lies in the description of war within the framework of international law and Islamic jurisprudence, the extent of its legality, and an attempt to highlight the legal value of the rules of human conduct in the war for which Islamic Sharia has established, and how it dealt with some categories of fighters (prisoners for example), and comparing it with the international conventions and treaties regulating this conduct in the field of international humanitarian law.

As for the research problem, it is an attempt to establish the rules of human behavior in war, which came in The Hagu

THE IMPACT OF STRATEGIC INTELLIGENCE ON ORGANIZATIONAL PERFORMANCE: A TEXTILE SECTOR PERSPECTIVE OF A DEVELOPING ECONOMY

In today’s competitive environment, organizational efficiency and sustained growth are crucial for survival. The performance of an organization is intricately connected to strategic planning, prompting firms to gather and leverage competitive information for a competitive advantage. Senior managers, recognizing this, initiate actions accordingly. This study aims to investigate the relationship between foresight, vision, strategic partnerships, motivation, system thinking, and organizational performance. Data, gathered through a self-administered questionnaire from various textile units, were analysed using structural equation modelling (SEM). The findings indicate that sub-constructs of strategic intelligence positively impact organizatio

Practical comparation of the accuracy and speed of YOLO, SSD and Faster RCNN for drone detection

Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN) have high performance in the fields of object recognition and classification. The strength of CNNs comes from the fact that they are able to extract information from raw-pixel content and learn features automatically. Feature extraction and classification algorithms can be either hand-crafted or Deep Learning (DL) based. DL detection approaches can be either two stages (region proposal approaches) detector or a single stage (non-region proposal approach) detector. Region proposal-based techniques include R-CNN, Fast RCNN, and Faster RCNN. Non-region proposal-based techniques include Single Shot Detector (SSD) and You Only Look Once (YOLO). We are going to compare the speed and accuracy of Faster RCNN,
