Objective(s): To assess the types of violence among adolescents in Baghdad City.
A descripƟve study which was using the assessment approach was conducted on purposive sample of 60 parents of
adolescent for identify types of adolescents violence in their families, was selected according to specific criteria for
participating in health education program towards adolescents' violence control in Baghdad city.
Methodology: A questionnaire was constructed for the purpose of the study. It was consisted of two parts; the first
part which included the parents' demographic characteristics for parents (sex, age, educational level and socioeconomic
status); the second part included types of adolescent violence that reported by parents. Data were collected
through the interview technique with the parents in the homes, health care centers, and school, from November, 1st
2008 to December, 31st 2008. Data were analyzed through use of descripƟve analysis (Frequencies and percentages).
Results: The results of the study indicated that the majority of adolescents had physical and psychological violence.
So, there was no sexual violence. The study concluded that adolescents' violence is a problem, because it was
definitely impacted on health of adolescents and their families.
Recommendations: The study recommends that studies and programs can be designed and implemented on the
parents and adolescents or together for resolve conflicts, problem–solving approaches and how to prevent risk factors
which contribute in adolescents' violence.
Objective: To assess of Science Teachers' Awareness towards Communicable Diseases Control in Baghdad City

Methodology: A descriptive study was conducted, included (100) primary school, (50) in Al-Rassafa sector, and
(50) in Al-Karkh sector, from March 5th 2012 to March 15th 2013, to assess of science teachers' awareness
towards communicable diseases control. A cluster sample of (100) Science teachers (males and females) were
selected, as one teacher from each school. A questionnaire format was used for data collection. The validity of

A total of 20 raw milk samples were used as the fouling agent for evaluating the bacteriological effectiveness of cleaning and sanitizing of domestic milking equipment by using ozonated water at 0.5 ppm comparing to the warm water at 55! for 5 minutes respectively. Air pollution evaluation of the operational processes in the East Baghdad oil field was carried out. The analysis was carried out by ICP-MS technique. Total Suspended Particles (TSP) air load was higher than Iraqi Standards and world international allowable limits of World Health Organization. Around fifty isolates of Salmonella enterica serovar Typhi were isolated from blood specimens of patients referring to several hospitals in Kirkuk province, Iraq. The results revealed that all isolates developed resistance to trimethoprim-sulfamethoxazole and chloramphenicol. However, neither sul2 nor tem genes were detected. Moreover, only ten isolates were positive for catP. Our data suggested participation of other genes or mechanisms allow these multidrug isolates to resist the antibiotics in question.
