The The Predictive Role of Sociodemographic Factors in Nurses' Psychological Hardiness
...Show More Authors

Objective(s): The study aims to identify the role of sociodemographic factors in predicting the level of psychological hardiness of nurses.

Methodology: A descriptive correlational study conducted in the Medical City hospitals in the city of Baghdad during the period from November 1, 2022 to May 1, 2023 on a sample of 156 male and female nurses.  The validity of the questionnaire was verified by presenting it to experts, and its reliability was verified through a pilot study.  Data analysis was carried out using (SPSS, version 26) program.

Results: Results showed that (57.7%) of nurses reported a moderate level of psychological hardiness, (42.3%) are associated with high level of psychological hardiness. Also the study found no significant difference between nurses' age, gender, marital status, socioeconomic status, qualification, workplace, and years of experience and their overall psychological hardiness score.

Conclusion: The study concluded that socio-demographic factors do not affect the level of psychological hardiness among nurses.

Recommendations: To further investigate the impact of demographic and work-related factors on psychological hardiness, future research should include larger and more diverse samples of nurses, particularly those from different cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds.

Shamela versus Pamela: Patriarchy Redraws the Picture
...Show More Authors

The present paper aims at presenting a feminist reading of Shamela. It specifically seeks to show how the patriarchal mentality behind Shamela dismembers all aspects of the positive image of the woman in Pamela so that nothing remains in the public mind but the prevalent stereotypical image.  The narrative in Pamela draws a positive picture of a truly pure, honest, moral woman; the narrative of Shamela redraws that picture by positing the stereotypical image of the woman as a lascivious temptress, false creature, immoral person, and shameless prostitute. This image is what patriarchy intends to endure as

Skull Stripping Based on the Segmentation Models
...Show More Authors

Skull image separation is one of the initial procedures used to detect brain abnormalities. In an MRI image of the brain, this process involves distinguishing the tissue that makes up the brain from the tissue that does not make up the brain. Even for experienced radiologists, separating the brain from the skull is a difficult task, and the accuracy of the results can vary quite a little from one individual to the next. Therefore, skull stripping in brain magnetic resonance volume has become increasingly popular due to the requirement for a dependable, accurate, and thorough method for processing brain datasets. Furthermore, skull stripping must be performed accurately for neuroimaging diagnostic systems since neither non-brain tissues nor

Estimating multivariate location and scatter with both affine equivariance and positive break down has always been difficult. Awell-known estimator which satisfies both properties is the Minimum volume Ellipsoid Estimator (MVE) Computing the exact (MVE) is often not feasible, so one usually resorts to an approximate Algorithm. In the regression setup, algorithm for positive-break down estimators like Least Median of squares typically recomputed the intercept at each step, to improve the result. This approach is called intercept adjustment. In this paper we show that a similar technique, called location adjustment, Can be applied to the (MVE). For this purpose we use the Minimum Volume Ball (MVB). In order

The Harm Resulting from Promoting Extremist Ideas
...Show More Authors

The freedom to promote ideas is one of the freedoms protected by constitutions and laws, and it is exercised by individuals through traditional and electronic media. However, this freedom must be exercised according to certain limits, represented by the necessity of respecting human rights, just as individuals have the freedom to exercise their right to publish and express their opinion in every way. Frankly, in return, she must respect the rights of others . Perhaps the development that has occurred in the various media, including journalism, radio, television, and the emergence of a new medium represented by the Internet, has contributed significantly to harming the security of individuals through the promotion of extremist ideas. This be

 Constructive critical reading by the Arab poet
...Show More Authors

Our critical history is marked by the presence of eminent poets who have tried to read, as for their texts, such as Al-Mutanabbi, Ibn Abd Rabu and Ibn Arabi. As for the texts of others, such as Al-Farazdaq, Jarir, and Omar bin Abi Rabi'a, and what is distinctive in their readings was that they were texts corresponding to the reading text, then the reading of Jarir Naqdah and Omar bin Abi Rabi`a was an opposition and Ibn Abd Rabu was scrutinized and Ibn Arabi was an interpretation and al-Mutanabi an explanation, and I found that these in their readings constitute a specificity that must be revealed The way of this research (constructive critical reading by the Arab poet - a critical study -) their poor are critical because criticism is pr

TREATING THE USED AUTOMOBILES OILS USING SOLVENTS
...Show More Authors

Used automobile oils were subjected to filtration to remove solid material and dehydration to remove water, gasoline and light components by using vacuum distillation under moderate pressure, and then the dehydrated waste oil is subjected to extraction by using liquid solvents. Two solvents, namely n-butanol and n-hexane were used to extract base oil from automobile used oil, so that the expensive base oil can be reused again.
The recovered base oil by using n-butanol solvent gives (88.67%) reduction in carbon residue, (75.93%) reduction in ash content, (93.73%) oil recovery, (95%) solvent recovery and (100.62) viscosity index, at (5:1) solvent to used oil ratio and (40 oC) extraction temperature, while using n-hexane solvent gives (6

Inferential Methods for the Dagum Regression Model
...Show More Authors

The Dagum Regression Model, introduced to address limitations in traditional econometric models, provides enhanced flexibility for analyzing data characterized by heavy tails and asymmetry, which is common in income and wealth distributions. This paper develops and applies the Dagum model, demonstrating its advantages over other distributions such as the Log-Normal and Gamma distributions. The model's parameters are estimated using Maximum Likelihood Estimation (MLE) and the Method of Moments (MoM). A simulation study evaluates both methods' performance across various sample sizes, showing that MoM tends to offer more robust and precise estimates, particularly in small samples. These findings provide valuable insights into the ana
