Evaluations of Intervention Program on Nurses` Practices about Care of Children with Diabetic Ketoacidosis
...Show More Authors

Objective(s): To assess the adequacy of mediation program on medical attendants practice toward care of kids with diabetic's ketoacidosis. Methodology: A quasi-experimental design that applied at teaching hospitals for pediatric in AL Ramadi city to establish the Effectiveness of Intervention Program on Nurses` Practices about Care of Children with Diabetic Ketoacidosis from 3th of March 2022 till 20 of March 2023. Non-probability (purposive) sample of (50), likewise was alienated into the study (experimental) group. The study group included (50) nurses non-randomly selected from AL-Ramadi Teaching Hospital.

A preliminary study has conducted in AL-Ramadi Teaching Hospital The whole number of nurses was (20) for 4 days, by using questions of the open-ended answers. The validity of the questionnaire and educational program are tested by (25) experts from related fields.

Results: Reliability of survey and program tried through a pilot investigation of It included (10) medical caretakers, non-randomly selected from AL-Ramadi Teaching Hospital (this sample was excluded from the original study sample) by using test-retest technique and Cronbach's Alpha measurement, the results for practice was (0.933).

The study findings have proved the effectiveness of the program through high percent obtained between the pre-test and post-test1 and post-test 2. It was sample study group results in pre-test is 31.76% (19) with regard to them on a not acceptable level, but post-test 1 is 77.04% (26) through esteem to them on a good level, and also post-test 2 remains 80.98% (24) with esteem to them on a good level.

Conclusions: The study concluded that the intervention program has significant effect on nurses practice about diabetic's ketoacidosis. It is improving nurses practice from poor to good practice after implementation of the intervention program.

Recommendations: the study has recommended that Training courses and workshops for nurses of the hospital teaching of pediatric regarding Diabetics Ketoacidosis care, increasing nurses' numbers especially those who hold nursing Bachelor's degrees to work at pediatric teaching hospitals for their ability and background.

“As if sky was blue”: An Eco-Marxist Reading of Caryl Churchill’s Play Not Not Not Not Not Enough Oxygen
...Show More Authors

Humanity is confronted with a growing array of environmental challenges that demand immediate attention and cannot be disregarded. One of the issues the world faces is air pollution, which presents a significant risk to both the environment and human well-being. The capitalist system has a great impact on the exacerbation of air pollution and environmental deterioration. This impact is reflected in Caryl Churchill’s post-apocalyptic play Not Not Not Not Not Enough Oxygen (1971). The play presents a futuristic scenario in which humanity faces grave consequences due to the polluting practices of capitalism and the unsustainable exploitation of natural resources. It depicts a future in which environmental degradation drives people

A Comparative Study of a Moving Bed Biofilm Reactor and Bio-shaft Technology for a Wastewater Treatment Process: A review
...Show More Authors

In addition to the primary treatment, biological treatment is used to reduce inorganic and organic components in the wastewater. The separation of biomass from treated wastewater is usually important to meet the effluent disposal requirements, so the MBBR system has been one of the most important modern technologies that use plastic tankers to transport biomass with wastewater, which works in pure biofilm, at low concentrations of suspended solids. However, biological treatment has been developed using the active sludge mixing process with MBBR. Turbo4bio was established as a sustainable and cost-effective solution for wastewater treatment plants in the early 1990s and ran on minimal sludge, and is easy to maintain. This

Abstract<p>Al2O3 and Al2O3–Al composite coatings were deposited on steel specimens using Oxy-acetylene gas thermal spray gun. Alumina was mixed with Aluminum in six groups of concentrations (0, 5, 10,12,15 and 20% ) Al2O3, Specimens were tested for corrosion using Potentiodynamic polarization technique. Further tests were conducted for the effect of temperature on polarization curve and the hardness tests for the coated specimens. At first, Modelling was carried out using MINITAB-19, least square method, as a 2nd degree nonlinear model, bad results were achieved because of the high nonlinearity. Better result w</p> ... The Research dealt with the role of the target costs in reducing the cost of products in the General Company for soft drinks. One the modern approaches reduce costs and thus increase the ability and continuity to compete in the market. Where the problem of research in identifying the shortcomings in the traditional method used in the company sample research. Which led to a weak control of the cost and the researcher relied on data and costs of the company. The research recommended that the target cost of the company should be applied to the research sample. Training the employees. In addition, preparing training courses for them. Adsorption of 4-Chlorophenol from Aqueous Solution onto Iraqi Bauxite and Surfactant–modified Iraqi Bauxite: Equilibrium, Kinetic, and Thermodynamic Studies
...Show More Authors

Natural Bauxite (BXT) mineral clay was modified with a cationic surfactant (hexadecy ltrimethy lammonium bromide (BXT-HDTMA)) and characterized with different techniques: FTIR spectroscopy, X-ray powder diffraction (XRD) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The modified and natural bauxite (BXT) were used as adsorbents for the adsorption of 4- Chlorophenol (4-CP) from aqueous solutions. The adsorption study was carried out at different conditions and parameters: contact time, pH value, adsorbent dosage and ionic strength. The adsorption kinetic (described by a pseudo-first order and a pseudo-second order), equilibrium experimental data (analyzed by Langmuir, Freundlich and Temkin isotherm models) and thermodynamic parameters (change in s
