Objective: To identify the effectiveness of instruction oriented intervention for primipara women upon episiotomy and self
perineal care.
Methodology: A quasi-experimental study was carried out to determine the effectiveness of instruction-oriented
intervention for primipara women upon episiotomy and self-perineal care. A purposive "non-probability" sample of (60)
primipara mothers was selected from Ibn AL-Balady Pediatric and Maternity Hospital, Al-russafa, Baghdad. The sample
has been divided into two groups; (30) primipara women who were considered as a study group, and another (30) primipara
women who were considered as a control one. The study group was exposed to an instruction-oriented intervention. While,
the control group was not exposed to the intervention. A questionnaire was developed as a tool of data collection for the
purpose of the study. A pilot study was carried out to test the reliability of the questionnaire for the period from March 13th
to March 25th, 2009. Data were analyzed through the application of descriptive and inferential statistical data analysis
approach.
Results: The results have revealed that the study group participants had benefit from the implementation of instructional
intervention and dramatic change had occurred in their episiotomy and self-perineal care knowledge. The study concluded
that the majority of mothers had adequately met their needs of perineal care, cleanliness of the perineum, using ice pack,
taking a soothing bath tube, dry heat, refrain from the marital relationship (coitus), mothers nutrition to prevent
constipation, used bath room, pelvic muscle exercise, follow-up were adequately met.
Recommendations: The study recommended that the oriented instructional intervention can be presented to all pregnant
mothers who are attending the primary health care centers. Moreover, an instructional intervention might be useful if it is
constructed and implemented in the hospital for women with episiotomy.
Inhalation of Staphylococcal Enterotoxin B (SEB) is known to induce acute lung injury (ALI) and studies from our laboratory have shown that THC, a psychoactive ingredient found in Cannabis sativa, can attenuate the ALI. In the current study, we investigated the role played by lung microbiota in ALI with or without THC treatment. A dual-dose of SEB was given to C3H/HeJ mice, which were then treated either with vehicle or THC. SEB-administration caused ALI and 100% mortality while all THC-treated mice survived and suppressed the inflammation in the lungs. Furthermore, lung microbiota was collected and 16S rRNA sequencing was performed. The data were analyzed to determine the alpha and b

The electrophoresis of agarose gel at a concentration of 2% showed one band when detecting the VrPIP2;7 gene with a sizeable 732 bp and using the 100 bp volume index. This gene was selected for sequencing study based on its importance as well as on the results of its gene expression. The sequencing of

Many designers draw their designs from previous eras; which is the aim of this research as we propose designing fashion the mannequin for the category of young girls aged between (10-18). The costumes were inspired by Victorian women's costumes during the time period (1860-1890) and were subdivided into three time periods (1860-1870), (1870-1880), (1880-1890) forming three designs for each time period , analyzing the nine designs to achieve the creative , functional and aesthetic aspects that are appropriate for the age group (research sample). Background: Fifteen percent of small for gestational age are small as a result of fetal growth restriction, which could be due to maternal, placental or fetal factors. It is an important clinical problem associated with increase perinatal mortality and morbidity. Leptin is a protein that produced by many tissues including the placenta (syncytiotropholoast). Dysregulation of leptin metabolism may be implicated in preeclampsia and IUGR pathogenesis.
Aim of the study: To study the trend of leptin level alteration in maternal serum and cord blood in pregnancies complicated by fetal growth restriction and its relation with fetal outcome.
Methods: An Analytic, cross- sectional study conducted in Al-Elwyia Maternity Teaching Hospital and
The purpose of this paper is to find the best multiplier approximation of unbounded functions in –space by using some discrete linear positive operators. Also we will estimate the degree of the best multiplier approximation in term of modulus of continuity and the averaged modulus.
