Effectiveness of the Health Action Process Approach on Promoting the Health Behaviors of Male High School Students in Al-Rusafa District
...Show More Authors

Objectives: The study aimed to evaluate health behavior, evaluate Health Action Process Approach, determine the effectiveness of the Health Action Process Approach based the application of program on students’ engaging in regular physical exercise.

Methodology: The research design for this study was a quasi-experimental. The study sample included high school male students, the final sample size was(160 ) Non-probability sampling (convenience sample) are chosen, (80) students study group and (80) students control group.

Results: The results show there was no statistically significant difference in the HAPA constructs among family's socioeconomic class groups and less than a half of participants in the study group that perform exercise regularly with longer interruptions. More than a half of participants in the study group they perform exercise during the week at least three times or more often for 30 minutes, to the extent of sweating (n = 41; 51.25) were compared to the control group (n = 31; 38.75%). There was a significant difference in the students' Motivational Self-Efficacy for exercising regularly, Coping Self-Efficacy for staying physically active, Smoking Outcomes Expectancies, and Anti-Smoking Self-Efficacy.

Conclusions: The study concluded the Health Action Process Approach has positive effect on promoting health behavior, it is enhancing the study group students' motivation self-efficacy, coping self-efficacy for staying physically active.

Recommendations: Based on the results of the present study the researcher recommends applying the health process approach to enhance students’ healthy behaviors.

Teeth decay is one of the distinctive diseases which infects the children of generation .though it is not adeacly disease, it leads to huge problems , especially if it is infect children in their early childhood .There are many factors which lead to this disease , and to achieve the goal of this research in trying to stop the most important nutrition factors and others reasons that have relation with this disease .The practical application has been done for four months on children , who have been chosen randomly of the age ( 3-5 years) of both sexes , infected with teeth decay , from Baghdad city ( al karkh and al rusafa ) , the number of children reached to 90 child , divided into tow groups 45 male , and( 45 )female .Again they have be

Synthesis, characterisation and electrochemistry of eight Fe coordination compounds containing substituted 2-(1-(4-R-phenyl-1H-1,2,3-triazol-4-yl)pyridine ligands, R = CH3, OCH3, COOH, F, Cl, CN, H and CF3.

Eight different Dichloro(bis{2-[1-(4-R-phenyl)-1H-1,2,3-triazol-4-yl-κN3]pyridine-κN})iron(II) compounds, 2–9, have been synthesised and characterised, where group R=CH3 (L2), OCH3 (L3), COOH (L4), F (L5), Cl (L6), CN (L7), H (L8) and CF3 (L9). The single crystal X-ray structure was determined for the L3 which was complemented with Density Functional Theory calculations for all complexes. The structure exhibits a distorted octahedral geometry, with the two triazole ligands coordinated to the iron centre positioned in the equatorial plane and the two chloro atoms in the axial positions. The values of the FeII/III redox couple, observed at ca. −0.3 V versus Fc/ Fc+ for complexes 2–9, varied over a very small potential range of 0.05 V.

Singular Perturbation-Based Adaptive Integral Sliding Mode Control for Flexible Joint Robots
...Show More Authors

The flexible joint robot (FJR) typically experiences parametric variations, nonlinearities, underactuation, noise propagation, and external disturbances which seriously degrade the FJR tracking. This article proposes an adaptive integral sliding mode controller (AISMC) based on a singular perturbation method and two state observers for the FJR to achieve high performance. First, the underactuated FJR is modeled into two simple second-order fast and slow subsystems by using Olfati transformation and singular perturbation method, which handles underactuation while reducing noise amplification. Then, the AISMC is proposed to effectively accomplish the desired tracking performance, in which the integral sliding surface is designed to reduce cha

Integration Routes Between Social Work and Voluntary Work: A Sociohistorical Perspective
...Show More Authors

The research problem is to determine the nature of the historical relationship between the profession of social work and volunteer work. Consequently, the research aims to investigate the nature of this relationship from a socio-historical perspective. Three axes have been used to analyze this relationship: the role of voluntary work in the development of the social work as a profession, the efforts made by social work to reach professionism and to distinguish it from voluntary work, and the relationship between social work and voluntary work. The research is qualitative analytical research and adopts the Mixed Methods Research (MMR). It identifies some literature for the analysis and implementation of a scoping process. It represents a

Magnetic susceptibility, conductometric measurements, FT-IR and UV-visible Spectra were used to identified. Theoretical treatment of the generated complexes in the gas phase was performed using the (hyperchem-8.07) program for molecular mechanics and semi-empirical computations. The (PM3) approach was used to determine the heat of formation (ΔH˚f), binding energy (ΔEb), an
