The purpose of this work was to study the effects of the Nd:YAG laser on exposed dentinal
tubules of human extracted teeth using a scanning electron microscope (SEM). Eighty 2.5mm-thick
slices were cut at the cementoenamel junction from 20 extracted human teeth with an electric saw. A
diamond bur was used to remove the cementum layer to expose the dentinal tubules. Each slice was
sectioned into four equal quadrants and the specimens were randomly divided into four groups (A to D ).

    This study aimed to determine the effects of age, gender, and allergen type on serum immunoglobulin E (IgE) levels in asthma (AS) and allergic rhinitis (AR) patients. Sixty AS patients, 52 AR patients, and 61 controls were enrolled in the study. Sera of participants were assessed for total IgE level and specific IgE antibody against four allergen types (animal dander, grasses, mites, and molds). Extracting moving object from video sequence is one of the most important steps
in the video-based analysis. Background subtraction is the most commonly used
moving object detection methods in video, in which the extracted object will be
feed to a higher-level process ( i.e. object localization, object tracking ).
The main requirement of background subtraction method is to construct a
stationary background model and then to compare every new coming frame with it
in order to detect the moving object.
Relied on the supposition that the background occurs with the higher appearance
frequency, a proposed background reconstruction algorithm has been presented
based on pixel intensity classification ( PIC ) approach.
